Modularity analysis of the 'ruby on rails' framework.
I have made a analysis of rails that analysis the modularity of the framework and find replicated code "bloat". You can find the result in http://shs.demosophia.net/rails_bloat.tar.bz2 . Read the README.txt in the archive. It have interest for people, thats write or maintain classes and modules in the rails framework. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received

Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge much slower with 0.9.16
RA2:YR is a 2D game - I think it probably uses DirectDraw. It runs slower with 0.9.16 and now the in game cursor flickers. Besides minor audio problems it ran fine in 0.9.15. I tried setting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D\DirectDrawRenderer to "gdi". It made no difference. Is that the corrent way to turn off the new DirectDraw changes?

community finding in a graph and heatplot
Hi everyone, I am using the fastgreedy.community function to get the $merges matrix and the $modularity vector. This serves my purpose of testing modularity of my graph. But I am "greedy" to plot the heat map and dendrrogram based on the $merges dendogram matrix. I know that heatplot does the graphics part but I am not sure if the dendogram generated by the heatplot will match the one

Centos/RHEL 64bit and ARM questions
I am digging a bit into RHEL 7 roadmap info. It seems there are statements that RHEL 7 will only support 64 bit. Is this corrent, and what for Centos 7? Also the ARM info I found was the target is ARMv8 which is 64 bit, not the ARMv7 which is 32bit. Any clearification is appreciated.

audio stitching in php
I am looking at writing a program using php that after X number of days (eg 60 days) a speex file is created that has all the speex file in a set folder with a bit of text to speech between the file for id reasons the speex file in the folder are deleted once done based on what I have read (corrent me if Im wrong): I need to convert the speex files to wav files (executable program), then I can

epoch rpm el8 obsolete?
I am building a new workstation based on EL8 now. As someone else here mentioned, the raw EL8 distribution is unusable as a workstation. Therefore I am building lot of additional packages. Today I came across a problem with a custom package with an Epoch version, that kills the yum/dnf update process (it tries to find a "best" package etc.). My actually question; is the RPM Epoch

summary of the effects after logistic regression model
Dear all, my aim is to estimate the efficacy over time of a treatment for headache prevention. Data consist of long sequences of repeated binary outcomes (1 if the subject has at least 1 episode of headache , 0 otherwise) on subjects randomized to placebo or treatment. I have fit a logistic regression model with Huber-White cluster sandwich covariance estimator. I have put in the model the

Comparing snapshots?
Hi, for a backup program I have to find all differing files (including metadata) in two snapshots taken from the same subvolume. Having looked at the find-new command I thought about this process: 1. Get the two transids when the two snapshots were created. 2. Query modifications to the original subvolume between the two transids. Is the general process corrent or have I overseen

YUM (DNF) Possible Confusion Centos 8
Folks In a test Centos 8 installation as a guest of VirtualBox on Windows 10, I want to install ffmpeg, and support for exfat. They're not in the standard distribution (as far as I know), so I issue as root: yum -y --enablerepo rpmfusion-free-updates install ffmpeg fuse-exfat exfat-utils and that works just fine. The ffmpeg functionality works; I haven't tested exfat yet.
