were interested in know in the internal condition of the guest vm when the

Yes, I discovered this when I rsync'd a whole 4Tb filesystem and the
backup system decided everything had changed because the attributes had
changed. I've settled on using "rsync -avHAX ..." and that seems to
keep everything preserved.

CentOS bookmarks
Hi,
A minor thing: in CentOS bookmarks (those are provided
by the Firefox package I think) there is a link to
CentOS documentation: http://www.centos.org/docs/7/ ;
it gives 404.
Best regards

Disabling fips mode in Centos 7.6
Dear team
if i need to disable FIPS on Centos 7.6 , then setting fips=0 in kernel
parameter should be more then sufficient .
Why should we remove the dracut-fips package and regenerate the
initramfs?
Thanks and regards

Recommendations for busy static web server replacement
Hi all
after being a silent reader for some time and not very successful in getting
good performance out of our test set-up, I'm finally getting to the list with
questions.
Right now, we are operating a web server serving out 4MB files for a
distributed computing project. Data is requested from all over the world at a
rate of about 650k to 800k downloads a day. Each data file is usually

No video display, SuSE kernel-xen-2.6.11.4-21.7
Hi all
This is a strange one. On upgraging to SuSE kernel-2.6.11.4-21.7, I have
suddenly found that I loose the video on boot up! The video disappears
very early in boot, possibly while Xen hypervisor is starting, printing
out the physical memory map.
If you are patient and wait for the machine to reach run level 5,
the X server starts up and you get a picture back. You can then
switch back and
