centos email server suddenly much slower. What to do?
Greetings, I run my own email server for some domains I administer, on a centos vps server with a very small number of users. The only services are smtp, imap/pop, webmail Everything was running without problems until this morning. I left home for 1/2 hours, and when I came back everything had become about 100x slower (seriously!). The services were/are still all up and running, but practically

update to my first email
Alright so after checking logs, rebooting the vps because why not, and removing and re-adding the account in thunderbird... Now nothing is working other than sending mail from gmail to the domain. imap does not pick up the email and trying to send with the domain just plain fails, saying it can't connect to the server. Honestly, tempted to uninstall dovecot, sasl and postfix and start

Suddenly getting lots of "Unable to send packet: Address Family mismatch between source/destination" but ONLY on 1 of 2 VPSs in same datacentre.
Two VPSs. Identical setups with the exception of the extension. Same version of everything, Asterisk 14.1, Ubuntu 16.10, same firewall rules and so on - box 2 was cloned from box 1. Both VPSs run in the same datacentre. Suddenly, after weeks of OK, I'm getting lots of this on ONE box only: [Nov 4 21:23:04] NOTICE[1468]: res_hep.c:466 hep_queue_cb: Unable to send packet: Address Family

Residential services
Hi folks, The obligatory newbie disclaimer: "Hi, I'm new to Asterisk and I have a couple questions..." OK, now that that's over with: I've just started working for a small CLEC, and I'm trying to sell * to my boss as a replacement for some expensive/inflexible/closed-source software he's been using to provide residential dialtone with for a couple years now.

Is anyone succesfully running Asterisk behind verizon residential DSL? I seem to be having some problems with my Asterisk server switching to Verizon. I'm attempting to do some troubleshooting, but I'm really interested in knowing of anyone's setup that already has Asterisk working with Verizon residential DSL. a2billing for residential voip usage
Hello List. I just installed a2billing with asterisk 1.6 and got it working. The only problem is that I'm trying to setup something to manage who's using the most minutes in the house. I noticed a2billing only works for callin cards setups, or maybe I didn't configure it correctly for what I want. Can I use a2billing for "?VoIP residential services"? if yes, how? if no,

Using NFS to extend local email storage
We are running our IMAP mail server on a VPS in the cloud (dovecot+exim+horde webmail), and we are using our on-premises NAS for daily backups through custom rsync scripts (which work well with maildir). There is a lot of storage available on the NAS, while not so much on the VPS. Since, we often get downtime on-premises due to power outages we cannot move the mail server on-premises (though the
