log4j12 package in CentOS 8
According to the RHEL docs, package log4j was replaced with package log4j12 in RHEL 8.0. However, when I attempt to install the package in CentOS 8, dnf cannot find it. I have the Base, AppStream, Extras and PowerTools repos enabled. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

CentOS Virt SIG and packages' priority problems?
Hello, some days ago I followed these instructions https://sigs.centos.org/virt/tdx/host/ and after enabling the repo I installed the tdx necessary bits as indicated, with the command dnf install kernel-tdx qemu-kvm-tdx libvirt-tdx This gave me: libvirt 9.5.0-1.el9s qemu-kvm 8.0.0-15.el9s kernel 5.14.0-395.el9s But now if I run a usual "dnf update" I'm proposed

dbus packages' versions not making sense
I have installed 1.12.8-10.el8_2, but when trying to install dbus-devel it is not available for that version, only 1.12.8-9.el8, which is also not available. Suggestions? # yum list | grep dbus dbus.x86_64 1:1.12.8-10.el8_2 @BaseOS dbus-common.noarch 1:1.12.8-10.el8_2

Dear CentOS members, Does someone know how to resolve this package conflict, it is creating security issues with freeipa dependencies. [root at freeipa01 ~]# yum update --refresh CentOS Stream 8 - AppStream 102 kB/s | 4.4 kB 00:00 CentOS Stream 8 - BaseOS 18

CVE-2014-4043 posix_spawn_file_actions_addopen
Hi, Is there an ETA on when CVE-2014-4043 for glibc will be fixed in centos. I see the upstream vendor version glibc-2.20 has this fix supposedly, but I don't see this specific fix in the centos glibc changelogs. I've compiled the test code for this bug and as of glibc-2.17.77 the test reports the bug is present. Preferably we'd like this fix on centos6.6 as we can't

CentOS repo question
Hi All, I've just installed a test laptop with CentOS Stream 8.1. I notice that the default install has both CentOS-Base and CentOS-Base-Appstream repos enabled. Is that necessary, or should I just have the Appstream repos enabled. The reason I'm asking is because I'm having trouble updating the installation. The problem seems to be some installed rpms seem to depend on updates from
