Renaming virtio devices names on CentOS 8 VM guest
Thanks Robert,
I was doing that but it was still renaming to ens*.
However, I now know why, and have fixed it.
For those who are interested, the problem was that when I created the base image from a kickstart I didn't pass net.ifnames=0 to virt-create, and I ended up with an image that had forgotten about eth0 completely. I have now redone the kickstart with net.ifnames=0 and all is well.

Netcard don't up
Dear Friends

CENTOS 4.2, bit when I boot system the up eth0 and et1i [OK].
When I run ifconfig the eth1 has not IP configure, then I run command
ifdown eth1 and ifup eth1, after eth1 is work perfect.
Below I show file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1

CentOS 7 : network interface renamed from eth0 to eth1 after reboot
There may be ways to force NIC naming, I've done so but only on Ubuntu so you'll need to do the research if it's important to you. Things to look for based on my experience: 70-persistent-net.rules, net.ifnames=0, biosdevname=0.

You can speed up the testing by setting LB very high so that the UPS reaches it quickly. Later you can set a more reasonable value.
After the first test and the NAS is restarted I had to change the setting

Help with Network configuration files
Hello,
I?m trying to configure a CentOS 7 server to act as a host for a bunch of virtual servers (KVM). I have an 802.3ad bonded Ethernet connected to the server with a bunch of tagged VLANs. I want to be able to build a bridge interface on the server for each VLAN and then attach that to the bond interface and the virtual clients. I also want to attach a host interface to one of the VLANs

True bond howto for Centos 6
Hi all,
Read many posts on the subject.
Using 802.3ad.
Few problems;
Cannot ping some hosts on the network, they are all up.
Cannot resolve via DNS which is one of the hosts that I cannot ping, internal nor external DNS hosts.
Unplugging the NICS and plugging them back in will then not allow pining if the default d=gateway.
When cold booting it somewhat works, some hosts are pingable while

bogus bond0 device showing up in /proc/net/dev
I'm running into a situation where a bogus bonded interface named
"bond0" is being created, in addition to the desired "bond2" interface.
Can anyone confirm this? Anyone know why it's happening or what I do
to get rid of it? I wanted to start my numbering scheme at 2 instead of
0, which I didn't think would be a problem.
As you can see, I have no reference

Problem with mdadm, raid1 and automatically adds any disk to raid
Hi.
CENTOS 7.6.1810, fresh install - use this as a base to create/upgrade new/old machines.
I was trying to setup two disks as a RAID1 array, using these lines
mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md0 --level=0 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc1
mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md1 --level=0 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sdb2 /dev/sdc2
mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md2 --level=0 --raid-devices=2
