I have to admit though, after reading through the flatpak website about it, I still don't understand how it could overcome the dependency problem with the skypeforlinux

latest skype (version 8.16.0.4) on Centos 7
Hi all! I've finally been reduced to having to install Skype on my Linux box. I resisted for years, but now ended up trying it. and while the latest RPM installs just fine, it refuses to acknowledge that I have a microphone! In fact I have two: 1 in the USB web cam (it finds the cam), the second in a Plantronics USB headset, which works fine but not with skype. it is as if it doesn't

which group for running docker as a regular user on CentOS 7
Hi, I have installed docker and would like to run the containers without sudo. I have placed myself in dockerroot group, but still to no avail. Centos doesn't have the operator group. What should I do? Thanks in advance

For about a week now yum has tried and failed to update skypeforlinux: Packages skipped because of dependency problems: ??? skypeforlinux-8.10.0.4-1.x86_64 from skype-stable Processing Dependency: libstdc++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4.20)(64bit) for package: skypeforlinux-8.10.0.4-1.x86_64 Is there any resolution to this issue?

basic configuratio error
Hello list, After many hours I still fail to configure properly dovecot as the LDA with opensmtpd, for system users only. I don't want pop at all, jus lmtp and imap, but still haven't stripped it. Hi, folks, Updated CentOS 7 the other day. Updated zoom last night. Ancient (15 yr old) USB camera, Logitech QuickCam Express. If I run LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so cheese, I get video. Zoom, with or without the LD_PRELOAD - no video. I've tried stracing zoom, and created a file /etc/ld.so.preload, with the contents of /usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so, and in
