Issue with dvd/cdrom drive
Hi, I'm having an issue with my Thinkpad P70 laptop/workstation. This system is a dual boot, windows 10 pro and centos 7. I have not needed to use the cdrom until now, however the system does not see it in /dev. I know the cdrom works as I can use it in windows 10 and when initially installing centos 7, I installed from dvd media. I'm not sure what to check. I do not see anything related

Strange problem with icons!
Check out these MSKB articles. They describe how shortcuts are resolved. In particular, the last one describes the process required to "fix" this behaviour. I had a LOT of trouble when I first set up my LAN because people had a nasty habit of sharing drive C (even I used to do this until I discovered that this is a Bad Idea). The main problem is that the shortcut includes the UNC

Upgrade from 3.8.15 to 3.12.5
I believe the peer rejected issue is something we recently identified and has been fixed through https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1544637 and is available in 3.12.6. I'd request you to upgrade to the latest version in 3.12 series. Realtek 8111GR on C7
Realtek is "real" good about getting drivers for their chips into the kernels as soon as possible. They are one of the few vendors that I have never had a problem with built in support... Mike McCarthy On 06/03/2016 08:03 AM, Phil Manuel wrote: > You can get the Linux driver from >

usb drives & Orico ORICO 9548U3-BK
Everyone, Is there a way to manually assign usb drives to a specified device label. Is there a way to force two usb drives to be labeled as /dev/sdc and /dev/sdd? I decided to build an archive server for the purpose of backing up other fedora/centos desktops at the office. I built a machine and have installed Centos 7.3 on it with all updates current. I also purchased a 3.0 usb sata drive

Greetings! I am trying to do a hot driver swap between the vfio-pci and nouveau drivers for my secondary Nvidia graphics card. I boot up with vfio-pci enabled. SAMBA 2.2.3a <-> LPRng 3.8.x
hi you all, I had this problem for a long time and with different versions of SAMBA and LPRng: using '/usr/spool/lp/bin/lpr -r -Fl -m%m -J"%J" -U%U -P%p %s' as 'print command' results in two jobs in the queue window on the NT box, though there is only one job in the unix queue. using '/usr/spool/lp/bin/lpr -r -Fl -m%m -U%U -P%p %s' works fine, but delete

Port density: DS3 cards?
Obviously, there are no DS3 TDM cards that are currently compatible with Zap channels. (or are there?) Does anyone know of an inexpensive DS3 card that could perhaps be used with Asterisk if one were to try to port the Zap drivers to such a card? PCI, of course, would be the bus of choice. I think there are quite a few discouraging comments to be made on that question. Firstly, most

Zone-file out of LDAP
Hi guys, I want to put all the data, which is needed for my zone-files into OpenLDAP. Next I need a tool, which creates zone-files out of the information which is stored in OpenLDAP. "failed to setup INTx fd: Operation not permitted" error when using PCI passthrough
Hi, I'm on a Dell VEP 1405 running Debian 9.11 and I'm running a few tests with various interfaces given in PCI passthrough to a qemu/KVM Virtual Machine also running Debian 9.11. I noticed that only one of the four I350 network controllers can be used in PCI passthrough. The available interfaces are: *# dpdk-devbind.py --status Network devices using kernel driver
