quickstart
I have the Asterisk book, it's enormous, the 4th edition as per
http://www.asteriskdocs.org/.
I'd like to do something like:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+quickstart
just to have two hardphones act as extensions and call each other. Is
that a reasonable first task?
I'm looking for the simplest litmus test for functionality possible.
thanks,

Is there a public blacklist of hackers' IP addresses?
Hi,
In last one week I have seen two servers of our organization successfully
hacked and some other under attack from some other IP addresses. We would
block one IP address on our firewall and after a few hours, they would start
getting hits from some another IP address. When I checked them on whois.net,
they all were from Amsterdam. Surprisingly, I once had similar attack in the
past and it was

Upload Progress and Finishing Up
I posted this on Rick''s Beast forum but got zilch so I am gonna try it here:
Ok, I have been fiddling with this trying to integrate it into my app.
I believe I?m just having a bit of trouble with the last part?
In the example, the upload action doesn?t really return, it renders some
?text?, that basically then invokes a ?cleanup? method on the JavaScript.
Well, I want to do a few of

It doesn't specifically.? Anaconda will create two EFI boot entries,
each referring to one of the mirror components:
# efibootmgr -v
BootCurrent: 0001
Timeout: 1 seconds
BootOrder: 0001,0000

Help finishing off Centos 7 RAID install
I completed the install as described below which went well.
I then copied the contents of /boot/efi to /boot/efi_copy using
cd /boot
rsync -acr efi/ efi_copy
I then installed grub2 on sdb
yum install yum install grub2-efi-modules
grub2-install /dev/sdb
everything ran as expected with no errors. The instructions then said to test
the install by powering off and swapping sda and sdb.

Help us with finishing the KCC (ending full-mesh replication on the Samba4 AD DC)
I've been slowly reviewing our KCC patch series by Douglas and Garming
into Samba git master over the past few days, and I expect that to be
fully merged shortly. The purpose of this work is to change Samba from
full-mesh replication to respecting site boundaries, and so trying to
reduce WAN replication traffic.
However, I need the help of Samba administrators to ensure this work is
ready

R script to start session (without automatically finishing)
Hello R friends
I am quite impressed by the power of R, I am using it only since some
weeks now. But its visualizing capabilities are outstanding!
But one thing I couldn't solve: I have programs producing lots of data,
most times 3D. In R I am using the library rgl to visualize nicely the
3D data.
What I would like to do is to write R scipts which read in a data file
and show me the 3D

Finishing up the contributors list as well
Guys,
OK, now that we have the new core contributors squared away, we
can go back to finishing the contributors list.
There were some people who got added and then there is existing
contributors list. I think Darren''s suggestion to wait to add new
core contributors is fine (let the new constitution settle down
and we can in the meanwhile have a more inclusive look at both

Help finishing off Centos 7 RAID install
I've just finished installing a new Bacula storeage server. Prior to doing the
install I did some research and ended up deciding to do the following
config.
6x4TB drives

/boot/efi_copy efi_fs sdb1
/boot xfs RAID1 sda2 sdb2
VG RAID6 all drives containing
SWAP

/var/bacula
Questions:
1) The big problem with this is that it is dependant on sda for

Hi,
I am trying to get my kickstart file that worked under 5.1 to work under 5.2 centos x86_64.
This is the error that I get.
On the screen it says Exception occured and gives me the option to save it. This is that file.
I dont see any odd that would cause it to crash.
Can anyone help. My kickstart file is in the mix below.
Seems to be related to network, my line seems fine (I think) for
