nVIDIA on CentOS 3.3
Hey,
I tried it. The short answer is that nVIDIA cards are
OK for text, but may not work at all under X.
I downloaded the 3.3 ISO's, and burned new CD's. I
did an X desktop install on a test bench P3 600 MHz
system with a 4.3 gig drive. I did the install with a
known-to-work Voodoo Banshee card to get the system
going. I used a Mag DX1495 monitor, which I know does
not to work on

Maybe you have me confused with someone else.
I did not write or imply that nVIDIA cards never work.
Rather, I wrote that they may not work. By this, I
meant that they do not work with some monitors.
I checked what I wrote, and I believe the above

Meaning of MMIO register 100080 on NV28
Hello,
There have been some users reporting odd framebuffer and cursor
corruption on GeForce4 Ti 4200 Go cards (yeah, pretty ancient
hardware). These identify as NV28's.
Here is the full bug, with screenshots, descriptions, etc:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54700
A user has isolated bit 24 of 100080 needing to be set, at which point
all the problems disappear. We don't

AOEII works now under wine but...
it's too slow...what could be the problem.
Age of Empires works fine..sound graphics..etc but too slow.
Yes, I've try it as root,no speed changes.
My video card is Riva TNT with latest nvidia drivers.
wine is 20012603.
and..AOEII is a little bit faster than AOE I.
Any ideas?

keeps running at an initial crazy pace.

Kudzu and Zaptel Cards
Redhat has a 'Hardware Discovery Utility' called Kudzu.
When I change cards, kudzu pops up and ask to remove/config the card.
Most of the time kudzu has trouble recognizing the Digium Zaptel cards and calls them something wrong, like calling the TDM card a network card.
I'm having a devil of a time getting 3 TE410P cards to come up with all green lights. For example one or two cards
