Out of memory
Hi, I have three machines running CentOS 7.6 in desktop mode. 2 are fine. 1 of them is having a memory issue that is Out of memory [17878] 1000 17878 2069991 42311 11898880 0 0 gnome-shell This gnome-shell looking at /var/log/messages after reboot - is the HIGHEST amount of memory. Looking at "top" now - it certainly does not use that amount of ram at this time.

CentOS 7 + GNOME : all icon themes broken after update from CR
Hi, I just upgraded one of my CentOS 7 + GNOME desktops from the CR repo. After the upgrade, it seems like all of the icon themes are broken. Missing icons everywhere. Any idea what's going on here ? Cheers, Niki -- Microlinux - Solutions informatiques durables 7, place de l'?glise - 30730 Montpezat Site : https://www.microlinux.fr Blog : https://blog.microlinux.fr Mail : info at

CentOS 7 + GNOME : all icon themes broken after update from CR
I did the update from CR, and have some pretty serious issues.? Until I blew away (by mv to a different name) the .local and .config directory trees, I couldn't log in to GNOME at all.? After doing that, I can log in, but if I do any actual work, GNOME crashes, and abrt-cli from root in vc 2 tells me that gnome-shell got a SIGSEGV.?I figure all of the updates aren't in CR yet, so I'm

Re: Fw: Install problems on fresh F10
I did post to ovirt-devel but I am not a registered user, so a moderator need to review my posting before it becomes available. I will register, but right now I only have a few seconds to spare. I try to add use "Add Virtual Machine" but the "Storage" is empty. My iSCSI and NFS storage says "State: pending_setup". What am I doing wrong? Sincerely, /bs66

Are you sure about this? They only mention "The FreeType font engine has been rebased to version 2.8, which is required by GNOME 3.28" but was GNOME itself also updated? MP4/H.264 codec for Firefox?
Hello, I am trying to get MP4/H.264 playback in Firefox to work on my CentOS laptop (for vimeo). I installed the gstreamer plugins as described here: https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/MultimediaOnCentOS7 (No, I did not install Flash, VLC and all the other stuff. I only want HTML5 MP4 playback..) I enabled the nux repos. I did install all available gstreamer plugins, i.e. -good -bad

Can't configure GDM after update to CentOS 7.6
Hi, It looks like the upgrade to CentOS 7.6 has been unusually disruptive with the GNOME desktop version bump and a series of moving targets under the hood. The result is some wreckage at my client's desktop installations, which I've been busy to repair since yesterday. First things first. I have a custom configuration of GDM, which consists mainly of two things. 1. Display my

Camera doesn't works after "yum upgrade"
Hi, I've launched a "yum upgrade" command on a CentOS6 laptop which has updated nearly 600 packages. Automatic updates were not working because of a conflict on a package. So the laptop is now uptodate but the camera did not works after this. The message is: kernel: uvcvideo: Failed to query (GET_DEF) UVC control 6 on unit 2: -110 (exp. 2). Re: Remove Virtual bridge and DNSMASQ
HI Michal Thank you for explaining. I have this situation in a number of production servers where we would always use static IPs for the host and VMs. In such case we have no requirement for NATed network in the future. And we we ever do, we can rely on a DHCP server within the LAN to provide IPs to the VMs. I'll look to remove both libivirt-daemon-driver-network,
