half-life cd doesnt recognize
When I run half-life under Codeweavers Wine, it says it cannot validate the cd. I tried cracking it under windows 4 times with different cracks, and they work under windows, but in wine it says my executable has been edited. When I had just plain wine that came iwth mydistro (suse 7.2), it worked fine. I have no idea what to do and what is causing this. Thanks! Matt

Hello, Thanks for quick reply. File server config looks exactly like this, except more shares, all with same simple config. I know that "use defualt domain" isn't necessery, but it's not the issue for me right now. [global]        netbios name = VS-FILES        security = ADS        workgroup = MYDOMAIN        realm = MYDOMAIN.COM        log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log

EL7: Detecting FS errors on XFS while mounted
Is there a way of checking an XFS filesystem for clean/dirty status while mounted? One of the checks we've long performed is an FS-level error check. This is *not a full-on fsck*, this is "asking the file system if it noted any problems". This is done while the file system is mounted and "hot". For example, here's how we'd check an ext* partition: # debugfs

Best BootRom & SIP Code for Poly600?
Hey all, Just getting started playing around with my Polycom 600. According to the wiki, it looks like it's recommended to run BootRom 2.6.1 and SIP 1.4.1. Is that info still current, or is it safe to upgrade to 3.0.1 and 1.5.2? Justin --

Saving images in shared directory w/ Capistrano/SVN?
Hi all, I''m using Capistrano and SVN to version control and deploy, but I''m not sure what to do about my images directory. I use file_column and RMagick to save images to the disk under a model called "Image", and they''re saved in public/image/... etc. Each time I deploy a new version, my image folder doesn''t exist anymore. I don''t want

Finished a prototype of GSoC project: Implement a new doc toolchain
Hi, Kunaal and I have completed a prototype of the first part of our GSoC project (implement a new doc toolchain). Our goal is to implement a doc toolchain for short how-to docs and lower the barrier for new comers to contribute. This is the workflow of the prototype: 1. Contributor creates a new pull request on GitHub 2. A corresponding issue is automatically created on Pagure 3. Staff and

interesting WINS resolution problem iwth 2.2.5 PDC
I'm running a Samba PDC at home (v2.2.5, recently upgraded from v2.2.3 in an attempt to solve this problem) on RedHat 7.3. I have domain logon, printing and all that good stuff working just fine to a couple of XP and 2000 clients. But, I want to mount a couple shares from the domain clients to the server, and that works just fine except for one client. fujisawa(6) ~> smbmount
