Loss of DHCP destroys bridge
I am having trouble with recovery. Today due to electrical work I
powered down my networks Router / DHCP server.
My Centos 7 host machines lost their DHCP lease (they are actually
static leases). Once I power my Router / DHCP server back up none of my
virtual machine were accessible. It appears that when the DHCP lease was
lost on the virt server the bridge of the KVM guest were all losts. A

Fwd: Network interface regression on F26 VM after 4.13/4.12 kernel update
I did not hear back on this posting so I figured I was addressing the wrong audience.
Maybe someone on the host-side better understands how the 4.12 kernel is interacting with KVM.
Thanks,

kickstart: dracut-initqueue fails due to unresolvable hostname even though network config looks perfectly ok
This problem still bites us. I've tried to play around with DHCP
settings (rd.net.timeout.dhcp, rd.net.dhcp.retry) to no avail.
I'm happy about /any/ hint.
Cheers

kickstart: dracut-initqueue fails due to unresolvable hostname even though network config looks perfectly ok
Hi,
kickstarting fails due to problems with host resolution, even though the
network seems to be properly configured through DHCP. eno1 and eno2 are
both attached to the network, but only eno1 gets an IP via DHCP. Still
`curl` cannot resolve the mirror host and the kickstart host during

Can't build 5.9 with KVM on a 6.3 host - DHCP hang?

Dear All,
I'm trying to configure wireless card on a Dell Vostro 1540.

I decided to follow the ELrepo instructions suggested on the site :

polkit helper timeout and defunct pkla-check-authorization processes on CentOS 7.3
Hi everyone,
We seem to be having issues on multiple CentOS 7.3 machines. The problem
seems to revolve around polkitd. At some random time, polkitd seems to stop
responding on my systems. Along with this, there might be hundreds of
defunct pkla-check-authorization processes. If I reboot, then things are
fine for a while.
I don't see any activity in the unabridged journal to suggest anything

external journal device
I'm trying to setup an external journal device, but it won't mount as
ext3. I can only mount it as ext2. Everything seems happy when I run the
commands. It will work when I don't use the external device. This is on
RH7.2, linux-2.4.18-rc2.
[root@dhcp4 root]# mke2fs -O journal_dev /dev/hdb5
[root@dhcp4 root]# mke2fs -j -J device=/dev/hdb5 /dev/hdb6

Are you sure you're running dhclient prior to starting the samba daemons?

Again kea DHCP-Server
Well? I?m not convinced KEA can?t be simple DHCP, though I understand that one
would never know that from reading the KEA documentation.
The following is a complete KEA configuration suitable to do a single subnet. In fact, you could probably get away with slightly less.
I?ve replaced the unique addresses from my environment with placeholders (e.g. <network/mask>), but otherwise, this is a
