Can't access Samba shares from Nautilus
Hi,
I'm currently experimenting with Samba on a few sandbox machines.
On the server side, I have setup CentOS 7 with a basic Samba setup and
two shares, one public, the other password-protected.
I have two Windows 7 boxes in my network, and I can access the shares
perfectly, log in to the password-protected share, read and write files,
so this seems to work OK.
On my main Linux workstation

About lattice plots and loops
I cannot operate lattice plots, notably those in package gstat, within for()
loops.
(I can neither read such graphics included in a .R (or .txt) file with the
source() function).
However same commands executed one by one don't fail.
Could you please help me find a means to execute lattice plots inside a loop

How to sort TWO columns ?
Dear ALL,
I fear my question has already been answered many times before, but I
haven't fund that in archives...
I am working on spatial datasets and, in most arrays I'm handling, there are
two columns dedicated to (x,y)-coords.
For different reasons - notably to draw image() plots, I need to have these
two columns sorted in increasing order.
But sort() and order() seem to apply to

sieve vacation to an alias group
Hi Yassine,
Thanks for the effort, unfortunately, we cannot turn it into an actual
mailbox, this is a long story that I don't want to include here. but it
would not be a valid option in our environment. Any other ideas
Is it possible to do it with vacation? Is there another auto responder or
plugin that can achieve this? How do ticketing systems handle this?
Thanks

I tried to install these, but I ran into some trouble. Here's what I
tried to do.
I'm using the yum-priorities plugin. The official CentOS repos are
configured with a priority of 1. Besides that, I'm using the EPEL and
Nux-dextop third party repos,

sieve vacation to an alias group
Since sending to the alias will send to a, b and c, just define the
filter on one mailbox only instead of making it global I guess.
Yassine.

Unfortunately that didn't work. The boot process stops here:

Hi,
I'm trying to compile R-1.7.1 from source (on a RedHat 8.0) instead of
using the binary version, as it has often been advised.
However I don't manage to find a solution to the following error which
occurs during the make procedure :

Accidentally nuked my system - any suggestions ?
Hi,
My workstation is running CentOS 7 on two disks (sda and sdb) in a
software RAID 1 setup.
It looks like I accidentally nuked it. I wanted to write an installation
ISO file to a USB disk, and instead of typing dd if=install.iso
of=/dev/sdc I typed /dev/sdb. As soon as I hit <Enter>, the screen froze.
I tried a hard reset, but of course, the boot process would stop short

rsync-2.5.6 on AIX 4.3.3
Hi all,
After a few days of looking into why rsync-2.5.6 would not work when using
the "::" syntax on AIX 4.3.3, I discovered it is only the case when the
system is not patched. I patched my system to maintenance level 10 and it
works fine.
AIX 4.3.3.0 - not working

AIX host1 3 4 00070F3F4C00

sieve vacation to an alias group
@odhiambo : we may later, but currently we are dependent on this email
Hi Yassine,
This is actually what I have done now, but I want it to be more robust, if
this user quits, then I must have someone else in the group with the rule.
I have moved the rule from global sieve script to one of group members in
his local sieve script, the syntax is the same
As for the rule itself

sieve vacation to an alias group
I am curious to know how did you define the filter on an alias in the
first place ? is it a filter defined globaly in dovecot ? I don't see
how it can be defined in any individual mailbox. Can you show the
dovecot/sieve configuration to achieve this ?
Yassine.
