Where would i put feature requests for a library?
Hi!
If i found a problem with the code of one of the libraries (not core), or, in my current case, would wish something minor changed for convenience, where can i get contact? Can i put it in the "official" bug repository?
(Problem discription for anyone interested:
Why call the default function kpca for a matrix with kpar=list(sigma=0.2), instead of putting this default sigma into the

How do I confirm importing repo key without user intervention?
> what about importing the key beforehand

That's what I do. But when I try to install a package from that
(passenger) repository manually, yum wants my confirmation:
# curl --fail -sSLo /etc/yum.repos.d/passenger.repo
https://oss-binaries.phusionpassenger.com/yum/definitions/el-passenger.repo
# grep gpgkey /etc/yum.repos.d/passenger.repo

How do I confirm importing repo key without user intervention?
Hi,
Sorry for asking it again. I just thought I asked the question the
wrong way. Too much unnecessary details. And therefore, got no
replies.
I'm configuring a server from, say, a script (automatically). I need
it to be done without user saying, "Yes, it's okay to import the key."
I was told to run the following command:
yum makecache -y --disablerepo=*

Regarding Bivariate normal distribution.
Dear all R gurus,
My question is related to statistics rather directly to R. Suppose
(X,Y) has a bivariate normal distrubution. I want to find two values
of X and Y say x, and y respectively, such that:
P[X<x, Y<y] = 0.05
My questions are :
1. Can x and y be uniquely found?
2. If it is, how I can find them using R
Your help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and regards,

Changing the centos name on boot
I have changed most of the things, the grub, issues. Since I run a minimal,
I dont really have a gnome login screen, all text based (no GUI). The only
place I am not able to trace is the booting time screen. Please do see an
attached screenshot in this mail

Changing the centos name on boot
I am kinda getting a tweaked distrubution with CentOS, So this is kinda
rebranding. I am not trying to change the hostname, trying to change the
System OS name in the on boot screen.
I have changed the grub configuration file and it reflects in the Boot OS
selection screen, login screen. But only in the on boot screen does it not
reflect. My search led me to something called plymouth, and the

chan_h323 readme file
Hello
I am getting ready to install chan_h323. Just updated my * with the latest
code from CVS (12/08/03). I was reading the Readme file and confused.
Quoted from the README
NOTICE: Whatever you do, DO NOT USE distrubution specific installs
of Open H.323 and PWLib. In fact you should check to make sure
your distro didn't install them for you without your knowledge.

HW-Speex: Fileformat and encoding process
Hi
I have just written a small c programm which reads in speex files and outputs
them as asci text numbers. This is necessary as for writing a hw testbench
for decoding tests, since thy only read ascii files :-(.I can't read the
bitrate properly from the header file. It's allways -1. Please see example
below and attached c programm. I wan't to check for a fixed bitrate (8000).

glm poisson, method='ML' (PR#10985)
Full_Name: saraux
Version: 2.6.1
OS: Windows vista
Submission from: (NULL) (193.157.180.37)
I would like to compute a glm with a distribution of poisson, using a maximum of
likelihood method. But it seems not to work with a distribution of poisson. The
same code with another distrubution (binomial for example) works.
Here is the command I typed:

ks.test; memory problems
Hi R-help,
I am interested in comparing two vectors of data
observations to see if they come from the same distrubution (and have
settled on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to do this)..
I'd prefer to use all my data points, but computationally speaking,
this is proving to be troublesome due to the size of my vectors (the
larger of the two is about 90 million observations). I suppose I
could

Passing password to script for rpmsign of list of .rpm files
I am trying to automatize signing of unsigned .rpm files. My repo has at
least 50 x 3 packages.
But I would have to type numerous passwords for each file. I can not see
hot to pass pass phrase to script.
rpmsign --resign {--pass=??} <filename from list> ????
Can someone advise me how to do that?

mapped drive name question
Hi
When mapping a drive to the samba server the share name that appears in
Windows XP for instance is:
Shares on 'Samba 3.0.23c-2.el5.2.0.2 (fs1)' (T:)
Anyway to remove the 'Samba and version number from the name of the
share so it's just plain: Shares on 'fs1 (fs1)' (T:)
Thanks
