CentOS 6.4 kickstart bonding
Hi all,
Someone played with kickstart bonding with centos 6.4 ?
CentOS 6.4, as upstream now support ifcae bonding in kickstart network section.
I've an issue with configuring a second bonding iface in kicstart on CentOS 6.4. The first bonding (bond0) works as espected but the second is not configured during installation. I've a 6 nic server (two for "puclic" network, two for

CentOS 6 : Network Interface Naming
Hello All,
I have one CentOS 6 KVM virtualization server that I built around a year
ago (best I can tell it was in October 2012) at which time I would have
been installing 6.3 [0]. That particular install used the Consistent
Network Device Naming [1] conventions (PCIe NICs are p1p1, p1p2).
I started to build out a new KVM virt server (kickstarting a 6.4 install
now as compared to 6.3 back then)

UEFI/EFI booting and constantly asking for ldlinux.e64
I'm setting up UEFI booting and got to the point of having the system
talk to the dhcpd/tftpd server, grab the first image files
(syslinux.efi) and then continuously request the secondary image file
(ldlinux.e64).
I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if someone can point me in the
right direction of trouble shooting this.
The tftp root has all the files to boot a BIOS type

tcpdump loses lots of packets
Hi folks,
I've got a Dell R320 running CentOS 7, and a 10G NIC. I'm running a DNS
server on it, for testing. As part of my testing, I'm attempting to
capture all the DNS queries arriving on the server, using tcpdump.
However, tcpdump's performance is abysmal, and it loses lots of the
packets. Here's the output when I stop the capture:
# tcpdump -nn -i p1p1 -w

multipath using defaults rather than multipath.conf contents for some devices (?) - why ?
hi all
We have a rh linux server connected to two HP SAN controllers, one an HSV200 (on the way out),
the other an HSV400 (on the way in). (Via a Qlogic HBA).
/etc/multipath.conf contains this :
device

vendor "(COMPAQ|HP)"
product "HSV1[01]1|HSV2[01]0|HSV300|HSV4[05]0"
getuid_callout "/sbin/scsi_id -g -u -s /block/%n"

mounted.ocfs2 -f return Unknown: Bad magic number in inode
Hello,
I have installed ocfs2 without problem and use it for a RAC10gR2.
Only Clusterware files are ocfs2 type.
multipath is also used.
When I issue : mounted.ocfs2 -f
I have a strange result:

/dev/sda1 ocfs2 pocrhel2, pocrhel1

device-mapper multipath
I am attempting to get multipath working with device-mapper (CentOS
4.2 and 4.3). It works on EVERY install of mine from RH (also v4.2,
4.3), but the same multipath.conf imported to all my installs of
CentOS do not work. Note that I have tested a working 4.2
configuration file from RH on CentOS 4.2 and a working 4.3
configuration (it changed slightly) on CentOS 4.3. Neither worked. Our

assign object with loop (translation from SAS to R)
I have a dataset named DM with p1, p2, ...., p9 (9 columns, numerical values)
I would like to calculate to multify each pair of columns (p1p2, p1p3,...
p1p9, p2p3, p2p4.... p8p9) and assign them in p1p2, p1p3,... p1p9, p2p3,
p2p4.... p8p9
In SAS,
l=0;
p_int_sum=0;
do i=1 to 8;
do j=(i+1) to 9;
l=l+1;
p{i}p{j}=p{i}*p{j};
end;
end;
I would like to know how to assign them in R

sdc1 without the sdc
So I'm working with the iSCSI Initiator and an EqualLogic SAN. I'm
not sure when this might have happened, but it appears that the
/dev/sdc device is missing, yet the /dev/sdc1 partition exists AND is
mountable. Is there a method to re-create the /dev/sdc device? I
cannot dd or fdisk it, obviously, but I can mount the /dev/sdc1
partition and it works just fine. Not having the /dev/sdc

If I send packets without qtx, like this:
tcpreplay -i p1p1 5min.pcap
then tcpdump on the receiving box has no problem, and keeps up happily
with the queries, and

iscsi of a SAN on a DomU
Hi,
i have a debian Etch x86_64 with a xen 3.1 on a kernel 2.6.18-xen.
I have some DomU with Debian Etch.
I installed open-iscsi, configure /etc/iscsi/iscsid.conf:

node.startup = automatic

Device-mapper-multipath not working correctly with GNBD devices
Hi all,
I am trying to configure a failover multipath between 2 GNBD devices.
I have a 4 nodes Redhat Cluster Suite (RCS) cluster. 3 of them are used for
running services, 1 of them for central storage. In the future I am going to
introduce another machine for central storage. The 2 storage machine are
going to share/export the same disk. The idea is not to have a single point
of failure

SUMMARY : multipath using defaults rather than multipath.conf contents for some devices (?) - why ?
The reason for the behaviour observed below turned out to be that the
device entry in /etc/multipath.conf was inadvertently appended *after* the devices
section , rather than inside it - so that we had
#devices {
# device {
# blah blah
# } (file has a bunch of defaults commented out)
# etc
#}

SUN Storage 7310 with RHEL 5.5 / Centos 5.5 and multipathed root, again.
Dear all,
After some trouble finding the right multipath.conf, I'm running Centos
5.5 against the SUN 7310 more or less successfully now. Unfortunately one
issue remains:
the SUN 7310 has two storage heads, H1 and H2, which are in a
active/passive configuration. If I define a LUN on H1, everything works
great. I edit multipath.conf, re-create the initrd and I find 8 paths with

Multipathing with Sun 7310
Dear list,
we have a relatively new Sun Storage 7310, where we connect CentOS 5.5
Servers (IBM LS21/LS41 Blades) via Brocade Switches, 4GBit FC. The Blades
boot from SAN via qla2xxx, and have no harddisks at all. We want them to
use multipathing from the very beginning, so /boot and / are already seen
by multipathd. Problem is, that the Sun 7310 has two storage heads which
