Puppet vs Oracle Enterprise Manager (cm pack)?
Hey; I''m still very new to puppet having *just* finished the pro puppet book. Going to have to go back to that a few times for re-reading, I suspect. Any rate, I have a client who''s leaning very heavily towards OEM w/the configuration management pack. Despite some fairly exhaustive google sessions, I haven''t been able to find a direct comparison between these

Current status on _outgoing_ Swedish/Dutch DTMF CLIP for TDM400 FXS interfaces?
Hi all, I have been looking at the code for both the zaptel driver (wctdm.c/wcfxs.c) and the asterisk channel driver (chan_zap.c) trying to figure out how much of this that has been implemented. So far I can see that the current stable 1.0.9.1 zaptel driver don't have the SETPOLARITY ioctl that would be required to properly signal the Swedish/Dutch CLIP, but the 1.2 beta1 has this

[LLVMdev] OpenMP/autopar support in LLVM
Hi I wanted to know the status of OpenMP (or in general auto parallelization) support in LLVM. I read some threads discussing about possible effort in that direction in 3.1 onwards, but did not see any further discussion on that. If someone in the list knows the updated info or can point me to any useful info, that would be useful. Thanks Regards Prakash Raghavendra -------------- next part

Windows 7 safe mode with networking on Xen 3.4.2?
I have just attempted to boot a windows 7 vm in safe mode with networking on Xen 3.4.2 and found that it reboots a few seconds after the logon screen appears, perhaps somebody else on the list could test this and confirm that they see the same issue? The last few lines of the qemu-dm log show the following: gpe_en_write: addr=0x1f6c, val=0x8. gpe_en_write: addr=0x1f6d, val=0x0. gpe_en_write:

Is anyone using asterisk in a small call center
Hello - I have just joined the lists and am considering installing quite a few * systems. I am looking for an IP-PBX with both solid standard features and call-center/ACD features. I have read the documentation and the list archives and did not see any references to real call-center type reporting and queuing. Is anyone out there using * in this kind of environment? The features I would be

[OT] Witty one liners or computer related proverbs
Dear All, I need some witty computer related proverbs or one liners that some of have used in the past as footers for your emails for example. I particularly remember a PERL based transliteration joke/footer that when run in PERL produces a witty output.... This is to fix a problem internally created by an over zealous salesman at my company pinning up A4 sheets with bullSh*t sales proverbs

Who sets the mount point?
This is what i found out in use with the icecast servers. Mounts Can be made by each of the following: 1> The icecast.xml file define a mount with a username/password for this mount. Since most our broadcaster using edcast to broadcast the username is set to source. 2> The use of the global source password can create a dynamic mount. But, the best way is to define it in the

[LLVMdev] OpenMP Support for LLVM and clang
Hello, I am a masters student interested in parallelization API's and auto parallelization. I have been following LLVM's development for some time now and would like to make a contribution. In particular I am interested in adding OpenMP support for LLVM. I believe this will be useful both for clang as well as LLVM Polly. I would like to know if anyone is already working on this. Any

DSCP, ToS and Egress
I''m successfully using HTB + GRED to shape traffic based on the DSCP field. I would like to strip the DSCP and possibly replace it with normal ToS bits on egress traffic leaving my network. Leaving DSCP set is pointless, and could potentially cause problems with some ISPs that use DSCP internally I suppose. Setting ToS bits would seem ideal as most networks still honor it to varying
