Redhat Authconfig errors
Ok, I've got most everything setup, but I'm not able to confirm pam_ldap and nss_ldap are working properly. (Actually given the examples in SBE, they still appear to be returning information from local files rather than the ldap info.) I wanted to go back and check my authconfig and reset the parameters. However now when I do a authconfig I get this: ---- authconfig --enablecache

Authconfig
Anyone used authconfig to join a CentOS box to an AD Domain? I can't for the life of me get this command to even execute without error? Looking at the tui which I can make work, I am trying to glean possible settings from it but have no luck. Although krb5 auth is disabled and winbind is enabled, there is kerb conf that must be setup etc... Looking at /etc/sysconfig/authconfig from a

sssd and authconfig and ldap database lookups
So I am feeling rather frustrated with sssd today: 1. I see that when you install sssd (this is centos 6), sssd.conf is not created. https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Deployment_Guide/about-sssd.conf.html implies that if I want to use sssd I need to create the sssd.conf file first. Any reason why? 2. I also noticed if sssd.conf is not there, authconfig

authconfig-gtk-6.1.9-1.fc14.i686.rpm missing durring URL Install ?
Hello, This is a rather strange problem. I am using the i386 netinstall CD to boot and do a URL (HTTP) install since my machine only has CD drive and can't boot from USB either. During the install, the installer was looking for package authconfig- gtk-6.1.9-1.fc14.i686.rpm and claims that it's missing. I checked the RPMs under packages, and for sure it wasn't there. But look at the

C7, system-auth-ac, and authconfig
I read the clear-as-mud docs, and it appears that if we want to modify system-auth-ac, we can create a local, and point system-auth to it. Howver.. in the default, I see auth [success=3 default=ignore] pam_succeed_if.so service notin login:gdm:xdm:kdm:xscreensaver:gnome-screensaver:kscreensaver quiet use_uid Now, we'd like to add sudo to that list. Does anyone know *where* authconfig
