CentOS 6.7 Drivers for Compaq Storageworks TL891 Minilibrary
Once upon a time, Mustafa Mohammed <netechie at yahoo.com> said: > I am trying to setup a backup system using Bacula on CentOS 6.7 installed on eserver x345 but cannot find the drivers I set one of those up many years ago, probably RHEL 3 timeframe. No drivers are necessary for the library, although you will have to find a differential SCSI card that is still supported to connect it

Disk images
Hello! We are planning to migrate our iSCSI installation (LUN based) to one NFS installation (based in images). iSCSI offers great performance, but we have many dom0s and domUs and the management is difficult (many LUNS, many multipath messages, ...). (We are using Debian Wheezy with Xen 4.1.2) I have some questions: -What formats of disk images support Xen? I have not found support for

Trying to build ISOLinux Minimal CD
Okay.. I'm pulling out my hair, not having much luck trying to get ISOLinux (syslinux) running on my IBM x345 Server... I want to put my boot (syslinux) and root files (lib etc for modules) on the CDROM and just boot off of it to use PartImage... Not having much luck though.. For testing purposes I'm using the boot floopy I created using "The Linux Bootdisk HOWTO" and it

Mixing SCSI devices on a single i/f
I have an external HP SureStore DLT VS80 with a SCSI LVD 68 pin interface and an external HP SureStore DAT24 with a SCSI Centronics 50 pin Narrow SE interface. The cable for the DAT has a Centronics connector at one end and a 68 Pin Wide to Narrow terminated connector at the other. The cable for the DLT has a LVD/SE 68 pin connector at both ends. I have terminator blocks for both devices.

more on PXELinux confiuration file woes
I performed an experiment in which I had dhcpd specify a named file ("foo") instead of one based on a client's MAC address. Lo and behold, the same problem occured. The PXE stack requested and was served the right file, the kernel loaded as did the initrd. But again, the boot sequence stopped at "Ready." Keep in mind that the contents of the file are the same as was in the

IRQ Misses and Dropped Calls?
Hello everyone, I'm using a TE410P, no irq sharing, and all extraneous devices disabled, such as USB, Parallel etc. I'm getting a few IRQ misses according to ZTTOOL. We're running a standard PRI_CPE interface and seem to be getting dropped calls, and errors on the D-CHANNEL occasionally. The circuit itself is very solid, it was in use on our old PBX just a few weeks ago, never

Rackmount PC hardware suggestions
I'm looking for anyone who has some vendors for rackmount PC hardware in a fairly decent configuration for Asterisk/Digium T1 termination. I am looking for well-built hardware from an integrator that understands correct component choice. Preferably, I'd like SCSI but I might be able to do Ultra-IDE platforms. I need at least two PCI slots in the chassis (so 2u/3u size factor is OK.)

IBM ServeRAID Manager software
Hi there, I'm in the process of installing Centos 5.2 on an IBM x236 w/ ServeRAID 7k I recently acquired to act as a samba file server. The hardware has all passed various stress tests I could throw at it so we're okay there. My question is. Has anyone had any luck getting the latest IBM ServeRAID Manager v9.0 working in CentOS? If so how? ServeRAID Manager is based off Adaptec's

Compaq cpqfc driver
Hi, I am trying to compile kernel 2.6.9-11.EL from kernel-sourcecode, and need the Compaq cpqfc HBA driver. I see the code for the driver under drivers/scsi but when I do a "make menuconfig" I do not have the option to select it. Any ideas on how I can get it to show up? Thanks. --

Re: libguestfs compilation
in fact, it was vhd and not hvd. if I understand correctly, guestmount uses qemu to allow the host to access the contents of the virtual machine disk : it makes it live to access its disk ? thank you for answering. 2018-06-28 16:30 GMT+02:00 Richard W.M. IAX2 Trunk Problems with NAT
Hi, I have successfully configured an IAX trunk between 2 asterisks, calls can go through both ways without any problems, NAT in the middle of course (iptables) Now , leave them for a while , and make a call from the external server , it doesn't go through, Dial from the internal one, everything works fine again.. Now , it is clearly a problem in the NAT engine,

For example, my custom attribute is visible in CGDecl.cpp but how can I generate based on my custom attribute if (D.hasAttr<myCustomAttri>()) { //What to do here? } What I wan in IR is something like below. Automatically detecting LUNs without a reboot
Hi everybody. I have an HP StorageWorks array connected to one of my servers, connected via an LSI controller (lspci reports: SCSI storage controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic SAS1068E PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS (rev 08)) on an HP DL385 running CentOS 5.5 x86_64. I have set up multipath and all is working but, when I create a snaphost and export it as a new LUN from the HP web interface, it

Serial ATA hardware raid.
Hi everyone, I'm looking into setting up a SATA hardware raid, probably 5 to use with CentOS 4. I chose hardware raid over software mostly because I like the fact that the raid is transparent to the OS. Does anyone know of any SATA controllers that are well tested for this sort of usage? From what I can tell from googling, this is more or less where RHEL stands: Red Hat Enterprise Linux

krb ticket for the computer account
Hi Samba community, Here is a problem I could not solve. I would like to mount a cifs share to my local Linux machine, which is bound to a windows domain using winbind. The share needs to be mounted by the linux machine's computer account. Here is what I do: # su - DOMAIN\\computer$ [DOMAIN\computercomputer ~]$ <<< i think there is a problem with the bash prompt, skip it for now

Translation of custom attribute (defined for variables) from clang to llvm
Hi Asit, thanks for the reply. But I guess I was not clear in my question. Actually, i dont want to use __ATTRIBUTE__((ANNOTATE("MOVIATTR"))), since in documentation it is stated that "This intrinsic allows annotation of local variables with arbitrary strings. This can be useful for special purpose optimizations that want to look for these annotations. These have no other
