Hi, I managed to get my hand on a Xenyx x2222usb at a friend's, so I took the opportunity to do some testing with it. Pi model B, one of the more recent editions (I also had an older one from just after they were introduced and that one had trouble rebooting when attaching/detaching network so I ditched that one). No sound even without Pulse installed
I prefer to use Pulseaudio, but since apperantly I'm not allowed to do that anymore if I want to hear things out of Wine, I removed it for now. And guess what, it still doesn't work. I have two sound cards, the HDMI one in my graphics card and my regular one hooked up to the speakers, which is why I like Pulse because I can easily send different apps to different cards. Here's my

Realplayer audio/video plays fast & noisy on nVidia HDMI connected to HDTV
Hello, This's my first ever post to CentOS lists. Sorry if I made any mistakes. My family is familiar with this RealPlayer Gold 11 and hesitate to use VLC or others. I googled a lot and tried different settings to no avail. Could you please tell me what I need to edit in order to slow down the audio/video playback of this old player? All other apps - even some older than Realplayer can play

Weired Sound Issues on Opensuse 11.1 and ALSA (Wine 1.1.26)
Hello Everybody I got some little issues with the sound. Logged in as my normal user - I've the testsound (winecfg) on the internal device. I can't change it. If I log in as root I've the testsound on my external USB speakers (the way I would prefer it works). I can't Imagine me - why there is a different between root and my normal user. Please find below some details. Code:

Soundcard detection failing
Hello all! I'm as new to these forums as I am to Linux, so please bear with me if I fail some of the etiquette! I'm running an Ubuntu 9.04 distribution. Sound has so far worked wonderfully in Ubuntu proper (playing music in Movie Player [current default] and through Firefox [Pandora] causes two streams to play; I don't seem to have issues with mixing!) PROBLEM: Ventrilo under Wine

No sound with alsa and Nvidia HDMI
Hi, I cannot get wine to recognize my audio device (Nvidia GT210 w/HDMI). No other sound card is enabled. The right device for sound is hw:0,3. Alsa's speakertest works fine. Pulseaudio is completely removed from my system. Also Wine's pulse package is removed even though the trace still has some references to pulseaudio. Winecfg displays only MIDI devices under ALSA. Thanks, Jerry

[PATCH v4 1/3] drm/nouveau: set streaming DMA mask early
Some subdevices (i.e., fb/nv50.c and fb/gf100.c) map a scratch page using dma_map_page() way before the TTM layer has had a chance to set the DMA mask. This may prevent the driver from loading at all on platforms whose system memory is not covered by the default DMA mask of 32-bit (i.e., when all RAM is above 4 GB). So set a preliminary DMA mask right after constructing the PCI device, and base
