[CentOS] Realplayer audio/video plays fast & noisy on nVidia HDMI connected to HDTV
Hello, This's my first ever post to CentOS lists. Sorry if I made any mistakes. My family is familiar with this RealPlayer Gold 11 and hesitate to use VLC or others. I googled a lot and tried different settings to no avail. Could you please tell me what I need to edit in order to slow down the audio/video playback of this old player? All other apps - even some older than Realplayer can play audio perfectly. The settings on this app offer none. The following is my ~/.config/real/realplayerrc [helix] EnableSuperbuffer=1 SuperBufferLength=300000 UseOverlay=0 OverlayMode=0 AlsaPCMDeviceName=hw:1,7 Bandwidth=2226048 CookiesPath=/home/kids/.config/real/rpcookies.txt UserSDKDataPath=/home/kids/.config/real Rotuma=dkcjchgiijfkfldmeoproukqorjrktluekegkidljgjkglplmsloqpoqqrksmtmugfggfhfi AutoTransport=1 SendStatistics=1 AttemptRTSPvMulticast=1 AttemptRTSPvUDP=1 AttemptRTSPvTCP=1 AttemptRTSPvHTTP=1 RTSPProxySupport=0 RTSPProxyHostRTSPProxyPort=554 AttemptPNAvMulticast=1 AttemptPNAvUDP=1 AttemptPNAvTCP=1 AttemptPNAvHTTP=1 PNAProxySupport=0 PNAProxyHostPNAProxyPort=1090 HTTPProxySupport=0 HTTPProxyHostHTTPProxyPort=80 MaxBandwidth=10485800 EnableSuperbuffer=1 SuperBufferLength=300000 UseOverlay=0 OverlayMode=0 AlsaPCMDeviceName=hw:1,7 Bandwidth=2226048 CookiesPath=/home/kids/.config/real/rpcookies.txt UserSDKDataPath=/home/kids/.config/real Rotuma=dkcjchgiijfkfldmeoproukqorjrktluekegkidljgjkglplmsloqpoqqrksmtmugfggfhfi AutoTransport=1 SendStatistics=1 AttemptRTSPvMulticast=1 AttemptRTSPvUDP=1 AttemptRTSPvTCP=1 AttemptRTSPvHTTP=1 RTSPProxySupport=0 RTSPProxyHostRTSPProxyPort=554 AttemptPNAvMulticast=1 AttemptPNAvUDP=1 AttemptPNAvTCP=1 AttemptPNAvHTTP=1 PNAProxySupport=0 PNAProxyHostPNAProxyPort=1090 HTTPProxySupport=0 HTTPProxyHostHTTPProxyPort=80 LiveSuperBuffer=1 rpregistered=1 TurboPlay=1 SoundDriver=3 AutoBWDetection=1 DisableMultiChannelPlayback=1 Quality=10 UseUDPPort=0 UDPPort=7070 NoProxyForPerfPlayEntireClip=0 BufferedPlayTime=10 CookiesEnabled=1 AllowAuthID=0 CacheEnabled=1 CacheMaxSize=4 ConnectionTimeOut=20 SynchMM=1 TrueLive=1 Alsa51PCMDeviceName=hdmi:CARD%3dNVidia,DEV%3d7 OSSPCMElementName=/dev/dsp OSSMixerElementName=/dev/mixer Language=en-us caption_switch=0 overdub_or_caption=none systemAudioDesc=0 UseSystemCPU=1 UseSystemOS=1 AlsaVaryingSampleRate=0 OpenAudioDeviceOnPlayback=0 [player] XPos=623 YPos=291 EnableRecentUrlsList=1 EnableUrlHurling=1 M3uUseRelative=0 MediaFilesPathWebBrowserPathLastBrowsedDirectory=/home/kids/Desktop/realplay DistCode=RXEN11LN OrigCode=RXEN11LN [recent_urls] [favorites] *My *aplay -l* is here:* [@GBINTEL bin]# aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC889A Analog [ALC889A Analog] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: ALC889A Digital [ALC889A Digital] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 7: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 8: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Subdevices: 1/1load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:1,7 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 9: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 [@GBINTEL bin]# aplay -L null Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture) pulse PulseAudio Sound Server upmix51 Upmixer channel expander surround51 Downmixer to stereo from surround51 surround40 Downmixer to stereo from surround40 default Default ALSA Output (currently PulseAudio Sound Server) sysdefault:CARD=Intel HDA Intel, ALC889A Analog Default Audio Device front:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, ALC889A Analog Front speakers surround41:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, ALC889A Analog 4.1 Surround output to Front, Rear and Subwoofer speakers surround50:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, ALC889A Analog 5.0 Surround output to Front, Center and Rear speakers surround71:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, ALC889A Analog 7.1 Surround output to Front, Center, Side, Rear and Woofer speakers iec958:CARD=Intel,DEV=0 HDA Intel, ALC889A Digital IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=0 HDA NVidia, HDMI 0 HDMI Audio Output hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=1 HDA NVidia, HDMI 0 HDMI Audio Output hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=2 HDA NVidia, HDMI 0 HDMI Audio Output hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=3 HDA NVidia, HDMI 0 HDMI Audio Output This is the only line that I changed in /etc/pulse/default.pa: load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:1,7 Best regards
