perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.35-1.el5.rf.noarch from rpmforge: dependency problem
Hi folks,
I hope this is the right mailing list to ask since on the repoforge
website there is no list or contact information.
I have a problem with updating the perl-Nagios-Plugin package. I have
installed perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.33-1.el6.rf.noarch, and running yum
update leads to:

yum priorities and obsoleting...
Hey,
I ran into a yum conflict regarding an repoforge extra package obsoleting a base package.
The thing is that I set a lower priority to repoforge extra...
Any idea how come I ran into this issue...?
The question is more about the yum priorities than repoforge.

Hi all,
I've just migrated my mail system from procmail to managesieve/sieve and
I'm having trouble trying to duplicate a could of rules I used to use in

One particular rule would be this:

what happened to rpmforge?
When did they change/lose their name?
I was trying to go there here at work, and the site was blocked. I put in
a ticket, and get a response that I may have been looking for repoforge,
and rpmforge is for raw food diets....

Does the use of yum priorities take care of this concern?

Not respected repo priorities...
Ah ah, the demo effect... just after I said I did not have much issues with repos... ^_^
A collegue installed some packages (for perconna) and since then a server insists on replacing 2 base packages with 2 rfx packages, even when I gave a lower priority to rfx...

KB -- I made those changes several months ago (Sep/Oct I believe), with
discussion in IRC. This was after a spate of people in the main channel
having issues with Atomic (there's a name that's going to end up causing
problems...) and the continued use of RPMForge/RepoForge, with no
indication that they're really really bad. As well as the recognition of

rpmforge is a dead repo, no longer maintained, I would not use for
anything anymore.
I usually add EPEL without so much as a second thought, but any other
repos I'm pretty selective about. See

PDF Reader/Editor for CentOS 5.7 (32 bit)?
I had, in the past, a .pdf reader that also permitted me to fill in
some information, when I received a .pdf file.
I have KPDF installed, but that seems to only have Reader capability.
Trying to install xpdf, with yum, I get this dependency error from rpmforge:

Dear All,
there's a security update for libmodplug:
This update is needed to fix a security vulnerability with this package.
This notification was issued on 2011-05-10 and last updated on
2011-05-09. Update to upstream version 0.8.8.3 (CVE-2011-1574,
CVE-2011-1761).
I've the following priorities configured:

vlc?
Hey, folks,
a co-worker raves that vlc is the bestestplaysthemostformats media
player there is, including being able to resize videos. I see it's only
over on repoforge for CentOS, but trying to install it at home (I'm
running 5.8, 32-bit), it wants about 30 or more dependencies, and one
or two of them, of course, have conflicts.
Has anyone installed it in a 5.x environment? If so,
