Timeout before trust answer with iPhone iOS 8
Until recently I've not had any problem connecting my iPhone 4s with iOS 8 to my CentOS 6.6 desktop to move pictures and videos. Problem occurs with my wife's new iPhone 5s. Now, before I can answer the "Trust This Computer" message on the iPhone, I get a DBus error: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)"

Mount iPhone ios-8 on CentOS-7
Yesterday I upgraded my Iphone to ios8 for Redphone/Signal and just now have discovered that I no longer can mount the iPhone as a USB device to effect data transfers from the camera roll. Googling around has not revealed any RHEL/CentOS specific fixes although apparently Ubuntu has done something on the matter. Is there any way to get an ios8-ified iPhone to mount on CentOS6.6 any more? --

Installing a gnome-desktop on CENTOS-6.3 following minimal system install.
I am still trying without much success to get a desktop on my minimal + virtualization install of a CentOS-6.3 kvm host. When I run startx I get a desktop but other than the icons for computer, home and trash there is nothing displayed. I can right click the mouse and from there I can open a terminal window and creat a folder on the desktop but I have no title bar and no status bar. There are

tunein Radio on Ios and Icecast: metadata disappeared
Hello, I'd like to know if this is a problem of Icecast, of me or of tunein. I'm thinking it is a tunein problem, anyway, from 2 3 months, if I type the address of my streaming: www.nvapple.it:8000/stream it works, but no metadata are showed. I have latest tunein pro version on Ios8. Have you the same problems with your icecast station? I don't think it depends of Liquidsoap or

Mysterious ICMP timeout?
I am looking at these sorts of things as well: IN=eth0 OUT=eth1 SRC=129.250.200.121 DST=x.y.z.56 LEN=96 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=243 ID=32285 PROTO=ICMP TYPE=11 CODE=0 [SRC=x.y.z.56 DST=88.198.155.41 LEN=28 TOS=0x10 PREC=0x60 TTL=1 ID=1968 PROTO=UDP SPT=50131 DPT=6528 LEN=8 ] x.y.z.56 is a disused address in our netblock assignment. So whatever this is it is not legit. Does anyone recognize

Can we trust RedHAt encryption tools?
Recently I have been deeply troubled by evidence revealing the degree to which U.S. based corporations (well actually all resident in any of the so-called 5-eyes countries) appear to have rolled over and assumed the position with respect to NSA inspired pressure to cripple public key encryption and facilitate intrusions into their software products. This has engendered in me a significant degree

SPEEX on iPhone ?
vincent, it should work out of the box. real time speex should work on the iphone as it has a really fast arm cpu (and speex works in realtime on even the 201mhz arm cpus). while compiling, remember to define the fixed-support support and you are all set. narrow band (8khz) and 8kbps bitrate will work very well. while you are at it, pse send the xcode project file to include in the tarball. -
