Ticket 46201 - Missing LLVM NOTICE file is making redistributing LLVM difficult
Hello all,
I was asked to bring attention to this LLVM ticket to the mailing list:
https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46201 - Missing LLVM NOTICE file
is making redistributing LLVM difficult.
It was recently noted by our legal review in release management that
LLVM third-party licenses are scattered over different files, which
complicates faithful license-preserving redistribution of LLVM to

NGINX Puppet Module: Looking for Feedback/Use Cases
Hello everyone,
I''m currently working on a module for NGINX that I''d love to get some input on. Code can be found here: http://github.com/puppetlabs/puppetlabs-nginx.
This module is currently in development - it supports a few use cases:
* Create a vhost
* Create multiple location references for a vhost
* Create Proxy Upstream references to be used by Nginx
* Allow

Logrotate problems
Hmm, so it seems that logrotate might be broken for nginx on Centos7. I
filed a bug with epel.

Logrotate problems
It?s interesting in your world, where ?broken? is ?functions exactly as it is documented to work?
If you want it to match subdirectories then you should add to the logrotate, or add another one yourself for each subdirectory. It?s not hard, and it?s certainly not broken. It does what you tell it to do.

Nginx and SELinux on CentOS 7
Hi,
I'm currently fiddling with Nginx on CentOS 7. Eventually I want to use it
instead of Apache on some servers.
Apache works more or less out of the box with SELinux. My websites are all
stored under /var/www, and ls -Z shows me that all files created under /var/www
are correctly labeled httpd_sys_content_t.
On my sandbox server I don't have Apache (httpd) installed, only Nginx

Redistributing CentOS as part of a package
Hi all,
I'm developing a program that is not a distro, per-se, but sort of
acts like one. Basically, it's a modified CentOS ISO with some extra
RPMs added, unneeded RPMs removed and containing a modified boot screen
and install selection list.
The list says "CentOS", so a user knows the installed appliance will
be based on CentOS, but it also has our project's branding

Redistributing CentOS
Hey Listees,
Just a quick question. I hope this isn't received incorrectly by
everyone as I do mean the best for the CentOS project;
I am wondering if it would be frowned upon to upload CentOS to my
RapidShare account. I understand I can freely distribute CentOS but to
what extent? In its simplest form I only really want to upload CentOS
5.2 to my RapidShare account for speed.
I had to

nginx security advisory (CVE-2013-2028)
Hello!
Greg MacManus, of iSIGHT Partners Labs, found a security problem
in several recent versions of nginx. A stack-based buffer
overflow might occur in a worker process while handling a
specially crafted request, potentially resulting in arbitrary code
execution (CVE-2013-2028).
The problem affects nginx 1.3.9 - 1.4.0.
The problem is fixed in nginx 1.5.0, 1.4.1.
Patch for the problem can be

return value of {....}
Dear Akshay,
The best response was given by Andrew. "{...}" is not a closure.
This is unusual for someone used to C-type languages. But I will try to
explain some of the rationale.
In the case that "{...}" was a closure, then external variables would
need to be explicitly declared before the closure (in order to reuse
those values):
intermediate = c()
{
??? intermediate

Proxy
Thank you all.
Except from the buffering it was the fact that I used "localhost" instead of
127.0.0.1 in the proxy_pass.
Now my configuration is:
location /stream1/ {
proxy_buffering off;
proxy_ignore_client_abort off;
proxy_intercept_errors on;
proxy_next_upstream error timeout invalid_header;

Nginx on CentOS 7: which one for production?
Hi,
I'm currently fiddling with Nginx to get acquainted with its various
quirks and idiosyncrasies.
I have a public CentOS 7 sandbox server, and I've tried various setups.
Install the binary from EPEL, install various binaries from SCLo, build
from source.
I wonder which version is recommended for production use on CentOS 7.
Any suggestions?
Cheers & happy Christmas holidays,

Calendar helper?
Does anyone know if someone has created a popup calendar helper for
selecting dates? The current way in rails with the multiple selects is
cumbersome at best, and I didn''t see any calendar type helpers in there.
