autoprobe for nVidia 6200 broken
I have the same problem on the install disks and on the Live CD: The computer locks as soon as the Xserver starts. I end up with a blank screen (color varies) with a moving mouse cursor. Nothing else. Nothing appears on the screen. Keyboard and mouse are inoperative. Even Alt-SysRq-R doesn't work. Only way out is the reset button (or maybe SSH, but I don't have another machine handy

change lattice panel background color
I can't find a way to change just the panel background color in lattice. I would like NA regions in levelplot() to appear black. I've tried the trellis.par.set() stuff, but it it makes the background of the whole graphic black. Thanks, Scott Waichler Pacific Northwest National Laboratory scott.waichler _at _ pnl.gov

Change panel background color in spplot()
Hi! How does one change the background color of the map-panel in spplot()? Example: library(sp) data(meuse.grid) gridded(meuse.grid) = ~x+y spplot(meuse.grid, "part.a") How would I get another background-color for the map-panel (but not for the whole plot) here? Thank you! Marcel

lattice - change background strip color in one panel
Hello, I would like to change the background color in only -one- of the strips in a multipanel lattice xyplot, from the default yellow-brown color. Until now, I only managed to change the background strip color in all of the strips using the par.settings, but I do not get it to work for only 1 strip. Below is the current code I am using. The resulting plot is here:

library file for R's nmath routines
Hi, I am wondering where the library file for R's nmath routines are? Doing a search on libR gave me the following: /usr/lib/libRKC16.so.1.2.0 /usr/lib/libRKC.so.1.2.0 /usr/lib/R/lib/libRlapack.so /usr/lib/R/lib/libR.so /usr/lib/libRKC.so.1 /usr/lib/libRKC16.so.1 None of these have the functions in nmath. Any help? Many thanks and best wishes! GT

Moving windows above GNOME top panel in Gutsy
When I enable compiz in Ubuntu Gutsy I can't move window titles *above* the top panel. With compiz disabled I can grab a window in the middle (Alt+left mouse) and move its title bar above the screen showing just the bottom part of the window. I assume this is a Compiz issue, since it only happens when enabled. I've been looking for a config option that controls that -- is there a way to

How to recognize an MBR suitable for isohybrid --mac ?
Hi, i have implemented in xorriso the equivalents of isohybrid.c options --mac and --uefi. There remains the question how to ensure that the submitted MBR is prepared for the 32 byte mock-up of an APM Block0. I see in git of may 2012 that all mbr/isohdp[fp]x*.bin begin by 33 ed 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90

isohybrid --mac doesn't find the mac efi image
Hi, email at missionaccomplish.com wrote: > We been trying to boot the image in vbox using efi emulation but it > complains about kernel not supporting handover. If it complains about a kernel then it should be past El Torito or GPT. The job of xorriso is to point BIOS and EFI to their boot images. Everything else is in the scope of the boot images resp. the operating system that shall

CentOS 7/GNOME 3 customise top panel
Hi, Is there any way to customise the top panel in CentOS 7 with GNOME 3 (which I recently tried for the first time)? Specifically, I want to add "application launchers", as it will make start-up faster than the standard alternatives. (Because you can move the mouse directly to the right place - you don't have to carry out another action, wait for icons or menu items to pop up,

Two issues with Diablo II
I am running Wine 0.9.18 on Ubuntu 6.06. I was able to get Diablo II running very easily, but there are two rather small problems that are bugging me. The first is that the sound is delayed about a second from the events that trigger them. I am actually having this problem outside of Diablo. I am using the ALSA drivers. The other is that while the 'alt' key is held down, mouse clicks

Set panel background color in a multi-group trellis plot
Hi everyone, I am trying to change some of the default colors in a multipanel-multigroup lattice graphic, but when I change the panel color to white, the only group that is plotted is the last one, as panel.fill overwrites all the previous ones. Is there any way to set the panel background color for the first panel to a color and keep the rest transparent? My code looks like this: #first set

How to put a background image on a panel
Well I''ve made a lot of progress on my app, but I''m stuck on figuring out how to add a bitmap. I have a notebook and a page panel. On this panel I want to put a backdrop image and scale it to the size of the panel. How do I do this? I looked at some of the samples related to bitmaps and I could not see how to apply that to my situation. Thanks, T.
