[CentOS-announce] Release for CentOS Linux 7 (1503 ) on x86_64
As a CentOs newbie, I'm not sure, will we still have CentOS 7.1 which derive from RHEL 7.1?
or this is the new naming conversion for CentOS 7.
Thanks!

So, in essence you're saying that the builders of the OS that you use
and trust for daily tasks are unwise, right? Sounds to me like you
might want to use something

I never said it was an improvement. I just said that I didn't think it
was that big of a deal, and it boggles my mind that people are calling a
change of an ISO's file name 'unwise' and even comparing it to a
Microsoft move. I just don't see it as

Creating CentOS DVD from scratch
I've found discussion about this in list archives, but no final answers.
Many helpfull people wrote in the past how to avoid creating DVD
(install from network, install from disk, boot this way, boot that way).
But, I do need DVD, no way around it. No network, no USB, no floppy,
no anything. Placing files on hard drive not an option. Just a DVD-ROM.
By Googling around, I found some

5.7 x86_64 DVD iso
I am trying to find a DVD iso that is not a torrent, and looking through
the mirrors I am unable to find one. Does anyone happen to have a mirror
or repository that they know of that carries the DVD iso for direct
download? I am behind a pretty strict firewall and am unable to do
torrents.
Thanks in advance

Anyone Having Any Luck Downloaing the DVD ISO?
I've been trying for 2 weeks to download the dvd iso torrent... Shows a ton
of seeders, few leechers, but very poor performance.. (I'm correctly setup
for torrents and get fast downloads normally) Only like 4% downloaded and
crawling. I've tried the trackers from every one of the mirror sites. I
can't use the net install because the systems I am installing are on a
closed network.

Down C6 ALL without torrent ?
Hi,
I have a machine with a BIOS that does not permit DVD installation. It
accepts everything else including some old superseded media types.
Is it possible to download C6 combined parts 1 and 2 not using Torrent ?
I have an aversion to using anything that comes from unknown sources, as
used by Torrent.
Thank you.
