Parsing and counting expressions in .txt-files
Dear Community, I hope that I have the right category selected because I am relatively new to the "R" world. I come with a relatively challenging problem in the luggage. I would like to realize, that "R" reads text files (there are several hundred pieces in my folder) sequentially, and screens for specific terms. If the term is found, the program should write a 1, if not a

TDM410E card, 1 FXO module - how to dial Out
Hello Newbie question here: I have a box running Ubuntu Linux 7.10 "gutsy gibbon", and have a single Digium TDM410E card, with 1 FXO module fitted and connected to my landline. I have it answering the landline, directing to SIP phones, diverting to voicemail etc - and it works great. What I can't work out is how to dial Out from this single card. It is possible? if so, is

Help Needed: Can't make "local" calls on a brand new PRI
Hello, I just installed a PRI and when I make a local (seven digit) call, I get Code 28 back from the telco, (I believe code 28 means "Invalid Number") and I hear a fast busy on the phone. Here is the output: -- Executing Dial("SIP/marke-17b1", "ZAP/G1/4967171") in new stack -- Requested transfer capability: 0x00 - SPEECH -- Called G1/4967171

Samba4 join xp problems
Samba4 no longer supports clients with windows xp, because I have updated the samba to version 4.11.6 and workstations with xp are no longer allowed to join, it gives an error that there are many remote connections that can be made , it does so for both domain controllers and file servers with that version of samba -- M.Sc. Need help getting started with asterisk
I am new to asterisk. I need help getting started, if it's even worth getting started. I say if it's worth getting started because I'm not sure if my hardware will even work with asterisk. I have a US ROBOTICS 56K V.90 PCI SOFT MODEM. I have standard twisted pair telephone wire. I can't afford to alter my hardware. I know I won't be able to do any sophistocated VoIP stuff.

Request for best practices
We are trying to implement "area-code dialing" in our asterisk PBX. Basically: we will have a number of customers, who may be in different area codes, that want to direct-dial each other's extensions. We want this to work like a "real" centrex, in that seven-digit numbers should try (1) "local" VoIP extensions, and then (2) "local" PSTN numbers.

disk drive sparing - questions not answers
I understand that ZFS provides fault data, via the zpool status command, that would (probably ??) allow a knowledgeable[0] zfs admin to determine (manually) when a zfs hardware element (today that''s usually called a "disk drive") might need "maintainence" or might need to be replaced. And there are sufficient features/facilities available in the current (b36+) release

Forklift a 2000 phone PBX
I'm staring at an RFP--this company wants to replace a 2000 position PBX (at eight locations) with a new system. Their mindset is Nortel/Avaya because they talk about 28-button digital sets. The do specify a few IP phones for just one location, so they are aware of VoIP. I'm going to bid on this--there's nothing to lose except the time it takes to write the proposal. I'll

antispam plugin ehancement
I'm not a developper so I can't do it by myself, but I wonder if it could be possible to use tagSpam and tagNospam DSPAM feature to ehance user's dspam lerning experience. I even don't know if this must be done by DSPAM itself or by dovecot, but let me explain : The feature would be done by a signature replacement into tagSpam and tagNospam text, so the user would simply

dovecot-dspam-plugin not launching dspam
hello, i added the dovecot-dspam-plugin [1] to my dovecot-installation. when trying to move a mail out of or into the predefined spamfolder with thunderbird a messagebox shows : "dspam failed" and the message remains in its original position. i am using virtual mail users contained in a postgresql-database [2]. normal imap access and dspam training from the commandline works fine.

frame size
Hi, Can someone please tell me how should I go about changing the frame size which is hardcoded to 160 for NB and WB and 320 for UWB. For NB speech(8KHz) the framesize of 160 is 20ms frame but for WB and UWB its 10ms. What are the parameters being affected by simply changing the framesize and sub-frame size in "modes.c" How to change the buffer size and how its affected. can we have a

Booting with Syslinux 6.01 & 6.02 fails, causes restart.
Hi there. I had a quick look through the archives, and I spotted a similar issue being reported in October, but no resolution, unfortunately. "[syslinux] Syslinux 6.02 BIOS" I am booting in legacy (bios) mode on a gpt partition on my laptop. It's a HP ENVY dv7. CPU: Intel i7, BIOS: InsydeH2O version: F. 12 With syslinux 4.06, it boots flawlessly. With syslinux 6.01 and 6.02, the
