i have been noticing a short connection burst in system monitor every time i connect to internet. i got curious and decided to run wireshark to see what was happening. seems that i am connecting to 96.195.141.178 with destination of "PartedMagic". this seemed strange because i do not have PartedMagic installed, so i ran a 'whois' check. this is what it showed: IP Location

menu(s) won't compile because of missing header file
If you cd to the /menu directory and type 'make' it fails with this error: libmenu/help.c:17:57: error: loadfile.h: No such file or directory libmenu/help.c: In function 'showhelp': libmenu/help.c:99: warning: implicit declaration of function 'loadfile' make: *** [libmenu/help.o] Error 1 The problem can be averted by adding the proper header location the file

Memdisk + Freedos problem
I and some other people have problems with running the freedos image included in Ultimate Boot CD (UBCD), when using memdisk for floppy emulation. Memdisk starts booting the image and freedos shows the following menu: 0 Boot Clean 1 Boot UMBPCI (silent) 2 Boot UMBPCI (optimal) 3 Boot UMBPCI (semi-defensive) 4 Boot EMM386 (optimal) 5 Boot EMM386 (semi-defensive) 6 Boot no UMB (defensive) 7 Boot

Installing syslinux from source
Hi, I need to use syslinux with partedmagic to create a bootable USB version of partedmagic. I installed syslinux using apt-get, the version installed is 3.31-4 (which is quite old).? This version seems to be lacking -d option to specify a directory for syslinux configuration file. What debian repository can the latest version of syslinux be found on ?
