dovecot permission denied problems.
I am trying to setup dovecot on a FC4 machine. Access to the machine is provided through pam. When I login to the machine my home directory is mounted over nfs from a central file server. I have dovecot installed and running but it can't seem to access my home directory. When I try and access my mail I get the following three lines in /var/log/maillog: > Jul 25 12:46:04 escher imap-login:

Transactional/Rollback problems
I''m having a rollback problem with rspec trunk. It doesn''t seem like rollbacks are happening quite as often as they should be. It appears as though the rollbacks are *NOT* occurring on the first description block in a file, but are for the rest. Here is a set of specs that are failing: require File.dirname(__FILE__) + "/../spec_helper" describe

exclude in a repo file
Hi All, I just discovered that the remi repo has updated versions of firefox. This is good news, but it leads me to a question. Is it possible to exclude all packages except one or two in a repo file? The man page for yum.conf didn't give me any hints. I tried unsuccessfully adding this line: exclude=!firefox*,!xulrunner* Is there a way to set up this repo so that when I run "yum

autotest stop working, 1.0.9?
My autotest runs but when I make changes to a spec it doesn''t reload. I checked another application I was building that had 1.0.9 but it was reloading fine. How would I debug a problem such as autotest not reloading? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... spec_distributed with rails
Is this the appropriate place to talk about spec_distributed? If not, I''ll post the spec-ext (seemingly dead) mailing list on rubyforge... I was able to run a non-rails project with Spec::Distributed::RindaSlaveRunner (and RindaMasterRunner). But I''m stumped on how to do it with a rails project, when I have rspec trunk installed. I continue to get wrong error

rumours of openssh vulnerability
Hi all, There are rumours flying around about a supposed vulnerability in OpenSSH. Two details which I've seen mentioned many times are (a) that this exploit was used to break into a RedHat system running OpenSSH 4.3 plus backported security patches, and (b) that "recent" versions of OpenSSH are not affected; but it's not clear if there is any basis for these rumours. CentOS PPC architecture support
I have a system with a PowerPC cpu which I'd like to run CentOS on in a production environment (albeit for a home personal server.) Does anyone know if the CentOS team are actually going to support PPC? I have found a page which states release 4 is in beta[1]. But little else. Is there lack of demand for support for this aging arch? Is there a lack of volunteers? I'd be willing to
