"Possible intruder" warning
Hello, I'm using tinc for a few years now and that this is my first post to this list tells a lot about the quality of tinc, I think. It's just great, thanks a lot for your fine work! Recently I've discovered these messages in my syslog: Dec 28 16:34:06 vdr tinc.grue[9731]: Possible intruder ix (192.168.178.25 port 60882): wrong keylength Dec 28 16:34:06 vdr tinc.grue[9731]: Error

How to stop intruder from registering sip?
This is a small 12 line system, internal extensions 150 - 180. I didn't have a phone on 151. Here's the sip.conf stanza: ;;[151] ;;type=friend ;;context=longdistance ;;callerid="Conf Room" <151> ;;secret=0000 ;;host=dynamic ;;qualify=yes ;;dtmfmode=rfc2833 ;;allow=all ;;defaultuser=151 ;;nat=yes ;;canreinvite=no There's no DISA. OT: routing between eth0 and ppp0 WITHOUT NAT
Sorry to post this here, but since last week I've posted to Fedora's mailing list, pptp-devel's list, and linuxgeneral forum. No one has given much for answers, or the people that have replied have not understood what I'm looking for. Hoping someone here can. For the record, I'm doing this on FC3 not CentOS. Anyway, if anyone can provide assistance I would be very appreciative.

routing decisions
Hi, I have Mandrake 10.0 gateway with internet via. ppp0. Also, another machine 192.168.0.4 is always connected to net via. a dial-up modem. Now I want to allow a machine (192.168.0.2) in my LAN to access net through 192.168.0.4. So according to lartc howto I did, # echo 200 John >> /etc/iproute2/rt_tables # ip rule add from 192.168.0.2 table John # ip route add default via 192.168.0.4 dev

Error 54 with Net Use
Hello, I've got a samba 2.2.5 server running with 5 or 6 users logging in with no problem. One user cannot get in (eventho initially I believe he could get in). I can ping and tracert from server to desktop and desktop to server (using both IPs and names). I am trying to map using the IP address, so the name resolution isn't an issue. When I use net use to map the drive this is the

Hi all, I need to setup a real bare minimum CentOS Virtual Machine, but with normal internet / network access. i.e. I need SSH, Mutt, Links, lynx, ping, tracert, dig, iptables, etc. Does anyone know where (if?) I can get a list of applications which gets installed with CentOS 6 if every option is deselected in the installer so that I can see what I can remove which isn't really necessary

(Newbie) Trying to get name resolution functional across the WAN
Hello all, Sorry if this is not new for you, certainly it is for me. I've setup Samba 2.2.3a on Redhat 7.3, right off the distribution's RPMs. Somehow I managed to get it working, as seen from the local LAN where the server sits, at building A. Problem is, all of my users are in building B, 10 miles across the city from the server room. This is a corporate environment, mainly Windows and

Configuration of hosts
I'm probably doing something I'm not supposed to even try, but I'm trying for "proof of concept" before physically setting up a distant network because of logistical issues. Anyway, I have tincd running as a service on two windows machines on the same lan. I'm trying to establish a connection between those two computers on the vpn ip's (10.20.30.1 and 10.20.40.1).

network. I did read somewhere on the web (several years ago) of a guy who managed to boot windows from the net. With the start of Win 98/ME/ etc.etc it's not posible anymore. I currently use PXE to install machine from the net using bpbatch that works great only bpbatch is not really under developnt and the script language is a bit buggy. I see only one option to boot windows from the net and
