Getting Intel RDT cache allocation status from libvirt?
Is there a way to get the current cache allocation status of a host
from libvirt, via API or virsh?
I've seen some references to a 'virsh nodecachestats' command in some
patches from 2017 that doesn't seem to exist, and I see that 'virsh
domstats --cpu-total <domain>' has similar information but seems to be
focused on cache monitoring information rather than the

Questions about CMT event statistic
Hi
I'm testing cmt event of libvirt, and I have two questions. I will be very grateful if someone can give me some help.
Q1:"virsh domstats --perf" and linux perf tool has different result.
I have a guest with cmt event enabled, start guest and get perf statistic every 1s:
# while true; do virsh domstats rhel7.2-1030 --perf; sleep 1; done
In the meanwhile, I use perf tool to get

RDT and breakpointer
How to get Rails'' script/breakpointer work in RDT 0.7 in Eclipse 3.1.2?
I''m new to Rails and have gotten breakpointer working in a csh on Fedora
Core 4. Also, the RDT setup works for breakpoints set in straight Ruby
code. I''m trying
http://www.napcs.com/howto/railsonwindows.html#setupbreakpointer. But a
breakpoint set in Eclipse doesn''t get hit at all.

Eclipse with RDT
Has anyone used Eclipse with RDT
(http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/show/RubyDevelopmentTools)? I have
never used Eclipse. Would it be worth my time to setup Eclipse with RDT
to create my first rails project?

virsh dominfo not returning any stats
Hi there,
We're running virsh on centos and hit a couple of issues. First instance is cpu.time not incrementing even with the VMs on the hypervisor running a stress tool. After running 'virsh domstats' sometimes it'll go into a state where no output is generated at all. Have anyone seen something like this? We're running a pretty recent build of libvirt.

query regarding domstats option with virsh
Hi,
I am looking for the information w.r.t domstats command line option of virsh tool.
1> This command line option is available with which version of libvirt.
2> How to get Guest's disk related information in case storage pool does not exist on host.
Thanks and Regards,

Looks like the command has been introduced in 5e542970 which is part of
1.2.8 release.

[libvirt] Set MAC address for host virtual interface?
Daniel:
This discussion used to be on the libvirt list, but seems
more appropriate for the users list so I am replying here.

I see. Thanks for the background info.

ZFS core contributor nominations
The time has come to review the current Contributor and Core contributor
grants for ZFS. Since all of the ZFS core contributors grants are set
to expire on 02-24-2009 we need to renew the members that are still
contributing at core contributor levels. We should also add some new
members to both Contributor and Core contributor levels.
First the current list of Core contributors:

Gem versioning and auto installs
Gem drives me daft sometimes.
It gives you this wonderful ability to specify a platform for a gem, but
forgets to provide a command line switch to select the platform. Politely it
asks you, which is all very well when you are installing on one machine
interactively, but no good at all on a cluster of 15 machines from a
Capistrano script.
Is there any way to get gem to automatically select the

Samba4 openchange status
I strongly and completely disagree with statement that is "IMHO the need
for openchange is disappearing. "
It is the only and one project/soft providing Exchange functionality on
Linux platform.

Fast Ruby Debugger?
After developing in Java for years in IDEs I''m starving for a decent ruby
debugger. When learning new codebasesI find it invaluable to use the
debugger to step through the system and see how things work at runtime.
Using RDT in Eclipse is fine but it''s excruciating to wait minutes for the
default debugger to finally reach my breakpoints on tests that normally take
seconds to

doveadm index crashes when indexing shared mailboxes

We store our mail archive in a tree of subfolders. I am trying to speed

produced:

Hi Tobi,
it should just work, but depends on the OS version.
./configure ?help tells you all the configure options, including:

path to maxminddb include directory [default=auto]
--with-maxminddb-libdir path to maxminddb library directory [default=auto]

Domain member help

I'm new to Samba and I'm wondering where I went wrong....
