What management tool are you using that the syntax is "source_device=eth2"? Are you maybe just paraphrasing your config, and what you actually have is something like this?: <interface

Installing support for q35 chipset
Hello I have recently had to reinstall Centos 7.5 to on host computer. I have not be able to set-up qemu to support the q35 chip set. I have several virtual machines that require q35. This is not my first install, I have configured libvirt on many machines in the past, it just worked, it has not required any manual configuration. cutting corners (4.10.2 on el7.6)
Hi All, I'm not well versed in the samba code base so I'm asking here.. :) I only wanted to run a small AD/DC for my SOHO (1 spouse, 3 kids, 1 dog & 1 cat). I've managed to build 4.10.2 on rhel7.6 with gnutls-3.3.29 and python-2.7. (this required an updated cmocka, which in turn required an updated cmake) but... building without testsuite and without clustering (ctdb) allows

qemu-system-x86_64 does not support fw_cfg option
Hi I am trying to run CoreOS (Container Linux) as a guest OS using KVM/QEMU. One of their suggestions is to pass config info into the VM using the "fw_cfg" option . When I try this I get the error "-fw_cfg invalid option". If I run the vm with the help option it does not list the fw_cfg option. However, according to the qemu documentation, see here

ZFS fails with C7 957
Folks I have two USB connected drives, configured as a mirrored-pair in ZFS. It's been working fine UNTIL I updated Centos from 3.10.0-862.14.4.el7.x86_64 to 3.10.0-957.1.3.el7.x86_64 The import of the pools didn't happen at boot. When I tried executing: zpool list I got the diagnostic suggesting I do /sbin/modprobe zfs And that command claimed the module didn't exist. YUM

[PATCH v4 0/3] virtio_net: allow hypervisor to indicate linkspeed and duplex setting
We have found it useful to be able to set the linkspeed and duplex settings from the host-side for virtio_net. This obviates the need for guest changes and settings for these fields, and does not require custom ethtool commands for virtio_net. The ability to set linkspeed and duplex is useful in various cases as described here: 16032be virtio_net: add ethtool support for set and get of settings

I've got a user with a legacy NVidia card. I've got kmod-nvidia. Last time I did an update, all I did was yum update --disableexcludes. cutting corners (4.10.2 on el7.6)
Hi Garming, Thanks for taking the time to enlighten me. I do happen to have two DC's and in my limited testing, 4.10.2 seems to function properly as an AD/DC on el7.6 with the packages I built. As I'm not using those DC's for file serving in a clustered setup, it is also my interpretation that I can do without ctdb (this one had a specific requirement for a higher version of a

Hi, I don't think any of those matter for your use. An older version of GnuTLS means we likely just use internally implemented functions (which we are trying to deprecate though). I don't know exactly what DMAPI is used for, but it's not a default configuration and file server clustering doesn't have any relevance for just an AD DC. Cheers, Garming On 16/04/19 10:57 AM,

Preparing for replication: dsync-local(testaccount): Panic: file mbox-lock.c
I am preparing a bit for setting up replication. However when I manually try to dsync an account, the first time I execute this[1] command it seems to be ok. The 2nd time I am getting this error[2]. If I add -1 (one way syncing) the error disappears. Does this mean I will have problems with setting up replication between these two servers? [1] [@ ~]# doveadm sync -n inbox -u testaccount

Where can CentOS7 yum-cron logs be found?
I'm trying to setup two CentOS7 systems with automatic security updates to run as my kubernetes nodes. I've also centralized all my outgoing mail through my mailgun service, so I've been using the cli tool "mailx", which I have configured with my credentials. Coming from Fedora32 and CentOS7, dnf-automatic had a helpful emission target that was "email_command". By
