Yes, thank you!
Now with the "Host *" line it works.
Thanks again.

OpenSSH 7.8p1 drops SSH connection with "Broken Pipe" IMMEDIATELY after successful login
Added the line as above: 'IPQoS lowdelay throughput', restarted the SSH service, tried SSH-ing and Git-ing... same error as before: 'packet_write_wait: Connection to X.X.X.X port 22: Broken pipe'.

building virtual desktops with libvirt, KVM, SPICE and GNOME
Can anybody comment on how to host virtual desktops on a headless server
using libvirt and KVM on the server and a SPICE client to access the
virtual desktop? Is there a standard way of doing this?
I've seen many fragments of information about how to do this but I
didn't come across a single guide describing the entire solution.

smokeping on CentOS questions
I'm having some problems getting CentOS to serve up my Smokeping pages (
http://oss.oetiker.ch/smokeping/)
However, I'm having problems getting the pages to serve up correctly.
Here is a quick run down of what I've done.
(1) wget and untar to /usr/local/smokeping
(2) chown -R root:root /usr/local/smokeping
(3) modifying to the following files to reflect my environment

How can I improve call quality?
Hi All,
I've a single 1.2.17 Asterisk system. Gradwell here in the UK is used
for PSTN calls via IAX2.
Our 'net link is a dedicated 2Mb fibre connection (of which we have ever
used 50% max bandwidth). We've no E1/T1 links, everything is IP based.
My boss complains that many of the calls he holds with others has a bad
quality. He also says that its not just him.

3Ware 9550SX and latency/system responsiveness
Dear list,
I thought I'd just share my experiences with this 3Ware card, and see
if anyone might have any suggestions.
System: Supermicro H8DA8 with 2 x Opteron 250 2.4GHz and 4GB RAM
installed. 9550SX-8LP hosting 4x Seagate ST3250820SV 250GB in a RAID

cache is on, as is queueing (and supported by the drives). StoreSave

Default ICMP rate limiting changes from 5.4 to 6.x?
Hello all,
I'm trying to figure out why my smokeping installation using fping
probes now seems to get periodic loss. It's very minor and only
affects the fping probe type. Without centering too much on smokeping
details, was there any sort of default rate limiting changed in the
ICMP settings going from FreeBSD 5.4 to 6.0? The problem happens
across every monitor and started exactly

Building REDHAT Desktop Virtualization Solution With Centos
Redhat offers a desktop virtualization solution using "kvm, qemu, libvirt and spice" which is directed at centralized server hosting virtual desktops and thin clients connecting to it.
All the relevant software are open source. So it should be possible to achieve the same feat with CentOS. Anyone know any complete tutorial regarding this?
I've found separate tutorials regarding

How to reduce latency and first real ring timing?
In this scenario, a person calls from his home over SIP to the Asterisk box,
which transcodes SIP to IAX and routes this call to a service provider over
IAX. Service provider forwards the call to PSTN and eventually the dialed
party gets the ring.
The caller hears ring going 6-7 times before the called party actually gets
the first ring. When he talks, there is a noticable latency in the

Remove viewer for Mac desktop
Hi.
I have a couple of Mac?s I use (a MBP 15? and a Mac mini), but I have a stack of Linux KVM/Qemu hosts (Centos 7.5) running various VM?s (Ubuntu, Fedora, Win7, Win10, etc).
Currently I ssh in with tunneling for X, and let the VNC client draw remotely on XQuartz. It?s reasonably fast on my 1Gb network, but glitchy (hangs, pointer location being wrong, spurious keyboard repeats, refreshing the

Will couple of packets drop when in-frequent traffic go through tinc?
An very interesting test did yesterday that, LAN1 and LAN2 setup an tinc VPN which is quite simple(the physical link between tinc nodes are quite stable/fast), and no any application traffic to go through the tinc.
Later, I setup smokeping which LAN1 initial 20 ping to LAN2 on a per-minute basis, but as you saw from the below picture, it had packet drop. But if I perform a constantly ping from

Controlling outbound bandwidth utilization by port
Among other things, I run an http server on my home DSL line
(6M/768kbit). The content includes several large image
galleries, and when certain crawlers hit our server w/
multiple large image uploads, we end up with large
ping time delays - sufficient to disrupt the kids''
on-line gaming. Attempts to control this with robots.txt
has not be very successful; Solaris IPQoS appears quite
