Wintab32 - Tablet support - VBtablet & wintab working for Dogwaffle?
I too would be very interested in knowing what's happening with wintab32 under wine - is it usable? How about in conjunction with VBtablet from www.greenreaper.co.uk ? He has a small test program there which reports pressure, angle etc.... you might want to see if that works. Does somebody on this list have a Wacom, AceCad, Pablo (Disney Magic Artist) or Aiptek tablet to try Dogwaffle with

project Dogwaffle on Wine?
Has anyone tried the paint program project Dogwaffle under Wine? We're curious to know if it works. Version 1.6 (demo available) doesn't use Direct X anymore, just GDI, but there's also some other librraies like VBtablet which depends upon wintab32.dll or something like that, anyway, I don't have access to Linux here (shame on me I know) so I'm asking if anyone here has tried

How about a mascot for R?
R users, How come R doesn't have a mascot? Linux has one and so does LaTeX, so shouldn't R? I personally think that associating a "friendly face" with R would be a good thing for R (one letter names can be quite intimidating). I apologize if this is addressed in the FAQ. I searched the FAQ as well as the mailing list archives and checked ?mascot but to no avail. ;-)

Request suitability comments
Hello: I'm trying to find a search tool for a website I am planning. The many CMS packages I've tried fall short when it comes to configurable search modules. I'd appreciate comments/suggestions on the suitability of Xapian given the following: a) the web site under development will have upwards of 1500 URL links to other Internet locations. b) each URL will have --

Mongrel 0.3.13.3 -- Ruby Licensed Release
Hello Everyone, This is the official 0.3.13.3 release of Mongrel. Mongrel is now released under the *Ruby license* instead of the LGPL. I''m hoping this increases the adoption of Mongrel even further and hopefully I can start pushing to get Mongrel included in Ruby directly. INSTALL As usual, you install it with your friendly gem install method of choice: gem install mongrel Or

RJB in Rails - setting JAVA_HOME correctly in environment.rb
All, I am attempting to use RJB (Java-Ruby Bridge - see: http://arton.no-ip.info/collabo/backyard/?RubyJavaBridge) in my Rails app. The documentation says: "Both LD_LIBRARY_PATH and JAVA_HOME setting required in environment.rb file of RoR." However, it doesn''t say _how_ to set these variables in environment.rb. I''ve tried JAVA_HOME =

soccer
How can I get good at soccer in a short time period? I'm 15 years old and I'm going to be a sophomore. I'm thinking of trying out for the soccer team. I'm not trying to get on varsity or junior varsity, but I don't want to look like an idiot on the field. I just want to know how to get better at soccer over this summer. I have a soccer goal in my backyard. Just some passing
