libvirtd not accepting connections
Hi, Ever since I recently upgraded to Fedora 25, I can't get kvm working. It's worked on this system since initial fedora 20 install. All upgrades were done via yum, then once available, dnf. I do have libvirt-sock in LISTENING state: STREAM LISTENING /var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock I noticed I also have multiple connections in CONNECTING state: STREAM CONNECTING 0

Confirming Multi-Processor
I have a test bed server that's pretty old- PIII Dual 550. I've done yum update kernel-smp and when I run cat/proc/cpuinfo it lists both processors- is there anything I need to to to confirm that it's fully utilizing both processors? I ask this because under the old OS (Fedora Core 2) I always saw an error message at boot that said something about operating in single-processor mode

SCSI install to IDE install - help
Hi, a customer has a Centos installation on SCSI disk (aic7xxx), there are some programs that he no longer have the installation media (some accounting stuff). Due to the SCSI disk going bad we must tranfer the installation to some other disks. SCSI disks are very difficult to find here and must be ordered (and wait about 45 days to arrive at the dealer). Can I clone the SCSI disk to a IDE Disk

hppa, powerpcspe: call for klibc/mksh testers
Hi, no mailing list for powerpcspe? What?s the progress of your architectures? I don?t see much happening on debian-ports.org, and taking your architectures off that infrastructure hurts others (I?ve ?revived? m68k and kept it running on d-p.o which helps a bit). Anyway: a new klibc (2.0~rc5-1) has been uploaded, and an mksh companion version (40.9.20120518-1) depending on it and trying to use

Motherboards for HPC applications
Hello, Can somebody recommend CentOS-OK, dual socket motherboards for compute elements? A quick look up at Intel pages suggests they are thinking of them as "server boards", but then they recommend them as "for SMB", I'm somewhat puzzled about it. It would be nice to know what MBs you are using, pros and cons. Thank you in advance -- Eduardo Grosclaude Universidad

Samba, HSM and Windows 2000 Data Center.
Background: I have a Windows 2000 Data Center Server (4 way 4GB Mem) running as a CIFS client to a Sun E5500 (the samba server with similar memory CPU etc). The Sun E5500 is running LSCI's "ASM" software which manages a StorageTek powderhorn tape library. There is ample 622 ATM bandwidth between the two servers for samba traffic. The ASM software is an HSM product it archives our

issue with ivtv & wctdm zaptel drivers (TDM PCI Master abort)
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with my x86_64 machine containing a Hauppauge PVR-500 (ivtv) and a Digium TDM400p (wctdm, part of zaptel) PCI cards. Independently of each other both cards work fine, but once the wctdm driver is loaded and mythtv tries to record something on the PVR-500 the wctdm driver freaks out. The error message is see is "TDM PCI Master abort" printed over and

Video Recording
Hi, I would like to record some training/advertising videos, in a similar format to those offered by CBT Nuggets (and others). Essentially this means I need to be able grab real video (e.g. webcam or DV camcorder, etc) as well as what is on the computer screen (VNC Recorder maybe) and audio. In terms of output I would like it to be in Ogg Theora format as these seems to be supported both on

'virsh capabilities' on Debian Wheezy-amd64 reports different cpu to Wheezy-i386 (on same hardware)
Hi On a range of Dell servers containing Intel 64bit processors, 'virsh capabilities' reports the cpu differently on Debian Wheezy-amd64 and Wheezy-i386. The results given by the Wheezy-i386 version seem very wrong (since n270 is an Atom processor). Apart from architecture, the package versions of libvirt-bin are identical: 1.2.1-1~bpo70+1. /usr/share/libvirt/cpu_map.xml files are

Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350 card on CentOS 4.X?
Anyone have the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350 card running on CentOS 4.X? What about MythTV? One of my users asked me today to upgrade the kernel on his CentOS 4.4 system today as he claims that this card will only work on recent kernels (2.6.16 or newer). I haven't found any documentation to support this (the Linux page on the Hauppauge web site is hopelessly out of date; it mentions
