[PATCH 1/3] ocaml: dynamically generate the content of Guestfs.Errno
Put in a list the errnos to expose, filling the content of the Guestfs.Errno submodule from that. Also, generate a separate guestfs-c-errnos.c with the implementations of the functions returning the errno codes. Only code motion and refactoring, no actual changes on the content of the ocaml Guestfs module. --- .gitignore | 1 + generator/main.ml | 1 + generator/ocaml.ml | 77

[nbdkit PATCH] ocaml: Map more errno values
Mapping of EOVERFLOW was missed in commit 6f8c8084. Mapping of EOPNOTSUPP is essential for .zero to trigger a fallback to .pwrite, missed in commit 6c0e00e9 (not to mention that it becomes a valid protocol failure once fast zero support is added). There is no Unix.ENOTSUP, or that would get the same treatment per commit abb2b47c. Preserving EROFS and EFBIG is useful because protocol.c

[PATCH] v2v: Give better diagnostics if filesystem falls back to read-only (RHBZ#1567763).
Some filesystems fall back silently to read-only if there are problems such a dirty filesystem and an unrecoverable journal. Almost all conversions involve writing to the root filesystem, so these will inevitably fail later on with a strange error message. Test the root filesystem is writable by creating and deleting a temporary file, and if the creation fails then give better diagnostics.

[nbdkit PATCH] connections: Improve error responses
We had several inconsistencies from the NBD spec when diagnosing bad client messages: - FLUSH is not generally forbidden on a read-only export (so failing with EPERM is wrong) [meanwhile, if we don't advertise flush because plugin_can_flush() fails, then rejecting with EINVAL is still okay] - returning EPERM (aka EROFS) for read-only exports should probably take precedence over anything else -

ocfs2: why not set EROFS when clearing bits multiple times
In ocfs2_block_group_clear_bits, when num_bits != bits_cleared, it just log an error message without setting EROFS. The code is below: /* * If encountered, it means we are clearing bits multiple times. While * we are handling the case, we still need to be alerted to its * occurrence. Hence, marking it as an ERROR and not NOTICE. */ if (num_bits != bits_cleared) { mlog(ML_ERROR,

[PATCH] Start the server if another user has a PID matching our stale pidfile.
If unicorn doesn''t get terminated cleanly (for example if the machine has its power interrupted) and the pid in the pidfile gets used by another process, the current unicorn code will exit and not start a server. This tiny patch fixes that behaviour. --- lib/unicorn/http_server.rb | 2 +- 1 files changed, 1 insertions(+), 1 deletions(-) diff --git a/lib/unicorn/http_server.rb

[PATCH] Enable PCI passthrough with stub domain.
This patch enables PCI passthrough with stub domain. PCI passthrough with stub domain has failed in the past. The primary reason is that hypercalls from qemu in stub domain are rejected. This patch allows qemu in stub domain to call the hypercalls which is needed for PCI passthrough. For security, if target domain of hypercall is different from that of stub domain, it rejects hypercall. To use

Writing to a symlink on a read-only file system that land on a read-write file system
We've come across a problem with 6.4 kernels that we didn't have with 6.2 kernels - which involves writing to a symlink that is on a read-only file system - but the symlink lands on a read-write file system The following shows the issue: mkdir -p /mnt/tmp mount -t tmpfs -o size=1% none /mnt/tmp rm -f /tmp/file ln -s /tmp/file /mnt/tmp/file mount -o remount,ro /mnt/tmp echo
