That being said - it appears that the whole HOST system becomes laggy. It can effect the mouse, the keyboard, the network. There are no messages in the logs that I can find that indicate the system is blocked or

Decent Performance
Hi all, I am trying to get some decent speed out of a vanilla Debian (Proxmox) box and am running out of ideas. Basically I can exchange data at 110MB/sec (raw, nfs, ftp) but not with Samba shares. I tried almost every samba tuning tip I could find to no avail. The only optimisation left to smb.conf at the moment is debug level = 0. As one can see the robocopy throughput is merely half of what

Network hangs after several hours (Centos 6 recently upgraded kernel/glibc)
Just noticed that in the trace, it shows an old kernel, so I don't think grub was automatically selecting the latest kernel. Just wondering what process updates the default to be the latest kernel, and if a problem could be an update but grub selecting an older kernel, but other packages updated ?
