I have a list of suffixes I want to turn into file names with extensions. suff<- c("C1", "C2", "C3") paste("filename_", suff[[1]], ".ext", sep="") [1] "filename_C1.ext" How do I use lapply() on that call to paste()? [PATCH 0/1] v2v: Add the test-harness used by external tests.
As I'm now working through the enormous virt-v2v/virt-p2v bug list, we need a high quality set of tests to ensure that we don't accidentally regress some old OS/hypervisor combination while making changes. The test cases are going to be huge, so we cannot possibly distribute them in libguestfs. Furthermore many of them have licensing problems which means we cannot redistribute them at

[PATCH] v2v: Preserve VM Generation ID (RHBZ#1598350).
virt-v2v moves guests, it doesn't clone them. Therefore we should try to preserve the VM Generation ID (genid) as much as possible. This has the ability to read the genid from VMware VMX files and libvirt XML (but note RHBZ#1598348). It can also write the genid to libvirt (‘-o libvirt’, ‘-o local’) and QEMU (‘-o qemu’). We are missing support currently for all OVF-based formats (hence ‘-i

[PATCH] qemu-sanity-check.in: Use '-display none' instead of '-nographic'
Upstream QEMU recommends to use '-display none' as opposed to '-nographic' -- which is a "legacy option that does a whole bunch of confusing stuff" (thanks Peter Maydell). Upstream libguestfs already made the switch [1] in DEC-2013. [1] https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/7a41f5c1 -- "launch: switch from -nographic to -display none " ---

regexp problem
Hi I have a question concerning regexp - I want to select with grep all character strings which contain the numbers 11:20 (code below). At the moment I am using [], but that obviously does not work, as it matches each element in the []. Is there a way to specify that the regexp should match 11, but not 1? Here is the code code: x <- paste("suff", 1:40, "pref",

[PATCH v3 0/5] v2v: more control over device types
The decision on which device type to use for disks, network and video cards on output used to be taken deep inside the converting functions. This is not always desirable. In particular, there are scenarios when this decision is made before the convertion takes place. E.g. in in-place mode, the decisions are taken and the output VM configuration is created outside of v2v tool. This patchset
