Concerning 'tagging proposal'
Hi, It is my opinion that a 'tagging standard' which aims to cater to everyone, caters to noone. Tagging style ultimately depend upon tagging tastes; I personally think it would be unwise to try to match everybody's tastes. Now, having a 'tagging proposal' instead of a 'tagging standard,' hardly seems worth the effort, to put it mildly. I doubt anyone would want to

ID3v1 support to Winamp v.2 plugin
I just added code to the Winamp 2 plugin that reads/writes ID3v1.1 tags in FLAC files from the 'Get File Info' dialog and properly reports the artist and title information to the playlist. In what format would you prefer the new code? Additionally, do you think it would be worth adding this functionality to the FLAC API? It would be cool to have the capability to write ID3v1 tags from the

[MTE] Tagging Globals
Hello, We're evaluating memory tagging (MTE) on some internal workloads. We noticed that stack variables are tagged by an instrumentation pass and heap objects are handled by the allocator (Scudo). How about global variables? We tried a simple case using -march=armv8a+memtag -fsanitize=memtag, but found no tagging: Are we missing anything or tagging globals is still in progress? int

Rails Tagging Generator?
Hey all! Just finished my first Rails app on 1.0 day and even got paid for it! Great stuff and much thanks to the many generous souls in IRC, especially ezmobious, who helped me through. For my second Rails app, I want to use tagging. I am wondering if there is a Tagging Generator or some other existing implementation I can borrow from? Best, Mike Pence Boca Raton, FL

Tagging recommendation - acts_as_taggable_on_steroids best?
hey all What''s the most popular tagging plugin/gem these days? Is it acts_as_taggable_on_steroids? Or is something else better? I''d like to basically replicate flickr''s tagging as much as possible, eg allowing multi-word tags to be denoted by quotes or seperated by commas. thanks max -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Batch-Tagging oggs?
Hello all. Quick question ('Cause I'm famished and have to get something to eat) If I have a batch of files (wave and/or ogg) with a certain naming scheme. Would it be possible for me to write a small nifty (newbie) dos-batch program that could tag those ogg-files (or encode the waves with tags) with regards to the namin parameters. Let me clarify. I usually encode waves with the

[Bridge] combining vlan tagging and spanning tree
Hi, I am configuring some servers in a high availability setup. The servers are connected to two switches with two LAN cards in each server. The two switches are connected directly to each other. The servers are configured to bridge eth0 and eth1 with spanning tree. Usually this makes sure eth1 is disabled, unless something happens to eth0. This way I can have one IP address on each server. Now

Adviced way of tagging music
I change a lot of my CD to Ogg to be able to listen them easily from my computer (I use foobar, I was used to WMP but it does not support library for Ogg files and plug-ins I found for this where poor) without the need for frequent CD changing. I like my music to be richly tagged. But with classical music CD it is a real pain to tag those files. Typical problems involve: - single CD

Tagging Flac-files in GNU/Linux and Windows
I posted this in the Hydrogenaudio Forums (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=31347) but I'll post it here as well, hope that's ok... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, I am having a lot of problems with tagging FLAC-files. Inherited node tagging
Dear all, I have observed a behavior that doesn''t seem (to me) to match the documentation. Specially, about tagging, the doc says: " Automatic Tagging All language statements enclosed in a node, define or class structure (read more about puppet control structures [[Language Tutorial]] ) will automatically be tagged with the name of that statement. These automatically- applied

[Flac-users] tagging tutorial?
I'd like to start using the tagging function for my FLAC files instead of trying to include the song title in the filename or having to refer to a text file while I listen. Is there a tutorial for tagging? I've absolutely no idea how to get started or where to learn. Thank you.

tagging flac files
this is a little off-topic, but i want to get a sense of "best practices" for tagging flac files. i want to archive my entire cd collection as flac files (onto a few of those new western digital 120GB drives). as part of encoding the flac files, i'd like to add 1. id3v2 tags (preferably automatically gotten from freedb) 2. timed lyrics a la lyrics3 v2 (is there a freedb-like
