Latest openswan update does no longer connect to Cisco VPN 3000 Series
Does anyone else noticed problems after updating openswan to openswan-2.6.32-27.2.el6_5.i686 ? In our case a connection to Cisco VPN 3000 Series would no longer work. I can see in the log an ASSERTION FAILED error and the connection would remain in Pending phase 2. ISCSI SAN suggestion
Sorry for the off-topic question but I need advice on a buying a ISCSI SAN for 4-6 servers running CentOS 4.4 .The main purpose for the SAN is to store email accounts (that will be accessed by imap - dovecot) and other documents. Minimal redundancy is required (e.g. dual power supplies, battery backed write cache or mirrored controllers) and price for a 2 TB configuration should be under $ 10000.

Disk usage incorrectly reported by du
I have an ext4 filesystem for which the reported disk usage is not correct. I have noticed the discrepancy after I rsync-ed the content to another filesystem and noticed that the used space on the target is almost double of the size reported on the source. Both machines are running the same software - with the same kernel version and same coreutils version (which I later upgraded to latest

Http proxy set in yum.conf is not working for the new yum mirrorlist system
Hi, It seems that the new update system does not consider the proxy option set yum.conf. After installing centos-yumconf-4-4.4.noarch.rpm together with the new yum packages, I was no longer able to use yum. In my case HTTP access is allowed only through a proxy. The proxy URL is configured in yum.conf. If I set the environment variable http_proxy from the shell I start yum, everything

Two sets of Heartbeat HTTPD clusters on same subnet
Hi all, I am new to Hearbeat so please be kind :) I also posted this on Linux-HA lists with no responses so I posted it here. I have successfully configure two machines to use heartbeat to cluster httpd. The two nodes are called etk-1 and etk-2. I am trying to configure another two machines to act as a separate cluster (on the same IP subnet). These two nodes are called radu-1 and radu-2.

AVX Optimizations in Opus
Hello, I had talked earlier with 'Timothy B. Terriberry' <tterribe at xiph.org>, about adding support for AVX instructions in Opus, but since he appears to be busy I would like to resend this on the mailing list. I've created a pull request https://github.com/xiph/opus/pull/5 to add the testing infrastructure for the changes before adding the actual code. A draft for the rest

AVX Optimizations
Hello, I've created a pull request[1] to enable configuration to search for AVX support and set OPUS_X86_MAY_HAVE_AVX accordingly. Please review. Xen stress testing for production
Hi -- I''m just a little nervous about deploying my Xen VMs. Will they perform when in actual production? How stable is Xen, really? So, I thought I would do some stress testing before deploying it. I''d like to test VMs running various services, alone and all together... DNS, HTTP/S, Tomcat, IMAP/SMTPD. Does anyone here have suggestions for load generating software? Or, has

Broken package
CentoOS 7 python-cryptography package is at version 0.8.2 It has a build-requires for python-cryptography-vectors of the same version (but different source tarball apparently) There is no python-cryptography-vectors in CentOS 7 base or updates. There is one in EPEL but it is version 0.8 -=- If you relax the BuildRequires to just require python-cryptography-vectors then the build fails

Drupal installation
Does anyone have experience of drupal installation under CentoOS-5.3 with MySQL database preferably accessed through phpMyAdmin. I want to install drupal more or less as an experiment, and I'm looking for a 1- or 2-page document that just lists precisely what steps to take. I've had a quick look at the official installation instructions, and I found them confusing and contradictory. --

how can I monitor a (dumb) switch ?
Hello there, Can anyone help me with a problem i have.... I have an ethernet LAN, made over dumb fast-ethernet switches (10/100mbit) without management, so there is no IP for the switches. What I want, if possible, is to find out if a switch is down or not. It''s like with routers... if you want to find out if a router is OK, either you send ICMP directly to the router, or to a host

AVX Optimizations
Hello, I've integrated the tests and AVX pitch code into my fork: https://github.com/rvelea/opus/commits/master I ran test_opus_decode and it seems to be running OK. I'll do some more measurements with VTUNE and the new pitch test in the following days and get back to you with a pull request and the data. In the meantime if you have time to give it a quick look and maybe point out any

AVX Optimizations
Hello, I'm currently looking to see if Opus could benefit from AVX/AVX2 instructions and I've made some experiments optimizing xcorr_kernel_* function in celt using AVX2 intrinsics and got about 1.5x-1.6x speedup over SSE floating point version in pitch_sse.c. Have AVX optimizations been tried in Opus? Is there someone I could talk to about optimizing compute intensive tasks in Opus using
