clarifying the handling of responses for virtio-rpmb
Hi, The specification lists a number of commands that have responses: The operation of a virtio RPMB device is driven by the requests placed on the virtqueue. The type of request can be program key (VIRTIO_RPMB_REQ_PROGRAM_KEY), get write counter (VIRTIO_RPMB_REQ_GET_WRITE_COUNTER), write (VIRTIO_RPMB_REQ_DATA_WRITE), and read (VIRTIO_RPMB_REQ_DATA_READ). A program key or write

Mock and Mock again
Question: If I use mock to build package rpmA from tarballA but rpmA has a dependency that can only be satisfied by package rpmB which must also be built from tarballB then how does the rpmB built from the tarballB get pulled into mock when building rpmA? I am trying to build httpd-2.4.7 from Apache and that needs apr-devel and apr-util-devel > 1.4. I can build apr and apr-utils in mock but

MC
I've tried to install midnight commander on centos3.1 final. No luck in installing it via yum install. When I download src.rpm from centos2 updates SRPMS I couldn't rebuild it. RPM --rebuild mc*.src.rpm didn't work (no rebuild option). What can I do then ? Best Regards Cooba

After upgrading samba 4.5.10 to 4.9.13
Good time! After upgrading samba 4.5.10 to 4.9.13, name resolution in AD hangs. # /etc/init.d/samba status ?* status: crashed But the domain itself works, but hangs when resolving user names. Virtiofsd
Hi In QEMU 8 virtiofsd has been removed in favor of the rust version. Which includes options that are not longer supported, Do you have a view on what should be used going forwards to support virtiofsd in libvirt with qemu 8? The options are showing as depreciated, -o <compat-options>... Options in a format compatible with the legacy implementation [deprecated] Rust

[RFC PATCH 01/19] tools/virtiofsd: add support for --socket-group
If you like running QEMU as a normal user (very common for TCG runs) but you have to run virtiofsd as a root user you run into connection problems. Adding support for an optional --socket-group allows the users to keep using the command line. Recover rpm DB corrupted by disk failure?
Over the weekend my workstation (still on CentOS 3) started showing SMART errors, so we shut it down and moved everything onto a new drive. On reboot, the RPM database reports as corrupted and "rpm --rebuilddb" segmentation faults. Is there any reasonable way to recover from this, short of a complete reinstall? The machine is otherwise up though it''s quite likely some files

Can't reliably use RefClass methods in Snowfall
Greetings, I am trying to use Reference Class methods in Snowfall, using R 2.12.1 on Ubuntu Natty. Using then directly seems to work (stanza 2 below), but using them indirectly does not (stanza 3 below). I get an "attempt to apply non-function" error. In addition to exporting the instance of the object I created to the Snowfall slaves, I also made several attempts to export the

hunting the fatty
Hello dear list, I've recently discovered 'doveadm stats' and I'm trying to use "doveadm stats dump user" and "doveadm stats dump session" to understand the pop/imap users that put more stress on the hard disks. My problem is that some users refuse to delete their emails from the server, so they keep 20GB of maildir files on the server, the webmail (roundcube)

Dovecot top stats
Hi, I have being try to track down top email users to sometime. When I do a network traffic check I can see there is about 15 times more email traffic pulled from mail server than sent. The problem I am trying to track down is which users are the culprit. I have enabled doevcot stats and I can do a doveadm stats dump user but I get a 0 for disk_input, disk_output, read_bytes and write_bytes. I
