[PATCH v3] drm/bochs: add drm_driver.release callback.
Call bochs_unload via drm_driver.release to make sure we release stuff
when it is safe to do so. Use drm_dev_{enter,exit,unplug} to avoid
touching hardware after device removal. Tidy up here and there.

[PATCH v2] drm/bochs: add drm_driver.release callback.
Call drm_dev_unregister() first in bochs_pci_remove(). Hook
bochs_unload() into the new .release callback, to make sure cleanup
is done when all users are gone.
Add ready bool to state struct and move bochs_hw_fini() call from
bochs_unload() to bochs_pci_remove() to make sure hardware is not
touched after bochs_pci_remove returns.

[PATCH v2] drm/bochs: fix framebuffer setup.
The driver doesn't consider framebuffer pitch and offset, leading to a
wrong display in case offset != 0 or pitch != width * bpp. Fix it.

[PATCH 2/2] drm/bochs: fix framebuffer setup.
If bo->width doesn't match fb->width the driver fails to configure
the display correctly, resulting in a scrambled display. Fix it.

[PATCH v2 04/20] drm/bochs: Remove references to struct drm_device.pdev
Using struct drm_device.pdev is deprecated. Convert bochs to struct
drm_device.dev. No functional changes.

the framebuffer format (actually just the byteorder).

[PATCH v3 4/5] drm/bochs: support changing byteorder at mode set time
Add bochs_hw_set_*_endian() helper functions, to set the framebuffer
byteorder at mode set time. Support both DRM_FORMAT_XRGB8888 and
DRM_FORMAT_BGRX8888 framebuffer formats, no matter what the native
machine byte order is.

This also allows to make bochs_hw_setformat static.

[PATCH v3 4/5] drm/bochs: drop stride and bpp from struct bochs_device
No need to store that, struct drm_framebuffer has all we need.
Also update VBE_DISPI_INDEX_VIRT_WIDTH register, otherwise we'll
have a fixes broken display in case pitch != width * cpp.

[PATCH v2 2/2] drm/bochs: add edid support.
Recent qemu (latest master branch, upcoming 3.1 release) got support
for EDID data. This patch adds guest driver support.
EDID support in qemu is not (yet) enabled by default, so please use
'qemu -device VGA,edid=on' for testing.

[PATCH 28/51] drm/bochs: Drop explicit drm_mode_config_cleanup
Instead rely on the automatic clean, for which we just need to check
that drm_mode_config_init succeeded. To avoid an inversion in the
cleanup we also have to move the dev_private allocation over to
drmm_kzalloc.
This is made possible by a preceeding patch which added a drmm_
cleanup action to drm_mode_config_init(), hence all we need to do to
ensure that drm_mode_config_cleanup() is run on final

[PATCH v4] drm/virtio: add drm_driver.release callback.
Split virtio_gpu_deinit(), move the drm shutdown and release to
virtio_gpu_release(). Drop vqs_ready variable, instead use
drm_dev_{enter,exit,unplug} to avoid touching hardware after
device removal. Tidy up here and there.
v4: add changelog.
v3: use drm_dev_*().
