Error: Could not find class <class> for <host> on node <host>
I''m a first time user that just installed Puppet 3.1.0 over the weekend and hit a road block that I can''t seem to get across. I have a Linux master (Mageia 2) and two Windows 7 clients. I was able to get basic recipes working by putting the resources directly in the node definitions. Now I''m trying to move to the next step and start using classes. I am *not*

Article for wiki consideration
I've recently documented simple use of a VServer with CentOS host and guest. toracat@ said that it might be worthwhile putting on the wiki. The present article is located at http://home.nyc.rr.com/computertaijutsu/vserver.html If it does get to the wiki, I would remove the fedora section and also add a notice at the beginning of the article with dire warnings about using a non-stock kernel.

encoder block diagram
I've made a block diagram of the encoder because I tried to find out, how it works http://stoffke.freeshell.65535.net/ogg/block.html Although there are specifiation docs, that give very detailed information about single aspects of the encoding (or decoding) , I'm missing documenations that give a more general overview, about how the encoder works. (Vorbis Illuminated seems a bit

Crashes with Spandsp, app_rxfax.c, and asterisk 1.4.4
Hi everybody, I have a Fedora Core 4 x86 32 bit install, which I recently upgraded from asterisk 1.2 to the office 1.4.4 tarball. In the process of doing that I had to upgrade some autoconf/automake stuff, but it worked fine, and my new asterisk works fine. Except that anytime I receive a fax with spandsp and app_rxfax, asterisk seg faults. I have applied the spandsp

5.2 driver for Marvell Yukon 88E8042 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller
Hello, I'm trying to install CentOS 5.2 on an HP 6730s notebook. All's going well except for one little item -- the networking. Never thought I'd have trouble with an Ethernet adapter, so I didn't even check before buying this machine; it was cheap. The adapter is a Marvell Yukon 88E8042 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller. I can't find a Linux driver for it except one that

About the article OS_Protection by JimPerrin
Evolution (aka JimPerrin - or is this the other way around?) has been working on this excellent wiki article: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/OS_Protection However, the discussion is taking place at his own blog site http://www.bofh-hunter.com/ . Because this is a CentOS wiki article, I just wonder why we cannot do it here. Sure, his blog site may collect a wider audience, but we traditionally

CentOS Forums
We have CentOS Forums here: http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/ Akemi Yagi (toracat on IRC) and Fabian Arrotin (arrfab on IRC) are the Forum Moderators. There are a lot of posts there that I find helpful when doing web searches ... but we could use more people answering questions there. Also, we specifically need some people to answer questions concerning Oracle database deployment in the

System beeps in kernel 2.6.18-194
So, just today I noticed a problem with kernel 2.6.18-194 (CentOS 5.5) on several Intel DP965LT systems; the system beeps (such as terminal beeps) are no longer passed through to the external speakers. This is a problem because in our situation the boxes are distant from their monitor/keyboard, the system speaker on this motherboard is extremely weak, and there are no system speaker header pins

Centos bug 15570 - Not just a VBOX bug, can also reproduce on direct hardware install
Ran into this rather frustrating bug when working with VBOX on a Windows 10 host. It should come as no surprise that I would hit this bug when installing CentOS, and also with RHEL 7 Server with GUI (since you get the same kernel). Based on information from your bug list, I was fortunately able to workaround the trouble with: wget
