nice to compress an

DC++ 0.668 - Annoying "tooltips"
Hello there ?
There were folks in the recent time running DC++ on wine. I'm also one of
them, and I have a small problem, which turns out to be very annoying. The
action buttons at the top of the main DC++ window as well as tabs at the
bottom tend to show "tooltips" containing information about the last files
to be hashed. However, there is an error somewhere that these tooltip

Wine and AMD 64 in Suse 9.3
Hi.
I have to use a comercial Windows software in my work, called Cosilab.
Last two months I was using Debian and wine 0.9.1 and everything went
perfect. The
Program works fine under wine and I haven't got any problems.
Now I've updated my computer to an AMD64 with 2Ghz Processor and I do
not know if the
problem with wine is caused by the 64 bits processor or why...
I try to run the

Michaelis-menten equation
Dear R users:
I encountered difficulties in michaelis-menten equation. I found
that when I use right model definiens, I got wrong Km vlaue,
and I got right Km value when i use wrong model definiens.
The value of Vd and Vmax are correct in these two models.

Questions regarding virtual desktops
Hi all,
I have a question regarding modal forms and virtual desktops.
I have win app that uses modal forms for input. If I use app without virtual desktop I have problem because use can click on nonmodal form which then hides. Well it's annoying and I saw on some other thread that this is by design. Everything work fine with VD. But some new problems / questions arrives.

I could use a bit of help here, this function is hard to figure out (for me at least) I have the following so far:

acf conf intervals +speed
Hi,
I'm trying to obtain confidence intervals for auto and
cross correlation estimates. I've adapted code made
available by Stock and Watson that uses the Bartlett
Kernel and the delta method. In R it runs really,
really slow because of the loops it uses and I have 9
series that I'd like to examine (81 total
combinations). It was easy enough to replace one of
the while loops with a

'solve' algorithm
I'm looking for the algorithm of the solve function (base package). As I
understand the help text neither Linpack nor Lapack's ZESV is used (in the
simple example below) but what algorithm is? Something like Gauss Jordan
Elimination should be applicable to solve a linear system
In particular I want to be able to translate it into i.e. Delphi, but in the

figs parameter for split.screen()
Dear all,
I would be pleased if anyone could help me.
The Rhelp description for the figs parameter is "a two-element vector
describing
the number of rows and colunns in a screen matrix".
So, why does my code (below) produce a 2x1 screen matrix instead of
a 1x2 one?
Thanks in advance,
rodrigo.

Skipping of sample in ogg writing
Hi All,
I m having a strange problem with the Ogg-Vorbis writting code. The code
I m using to write is skipping some samples at the end of the file. For
example I m converting the 10000 sample .wav file ( 441000 sample rate ,
16 bit depth , stereo ) to ogg format. But while reading the ogg file I
only find 5824 samples in the ogg file. Can any one suggest what could
be wrong in the code. Is

Regression in wine-20011226 ?
Hi!
It's a pitty but I have to report that two programs which worked with the previous
(November) wine release don't work anymore.
The first one is a front panel for the measuring instrument, which worked perfectly
after the serial handshake fixes but now (from about Dec 19) it crashes.
The second one is a Nokia Logo Manager. It was not too useful for other wine problems
but it at
