similar to: diablo 1 fun and troubles

Hi everyone. I just downloaded Diablo II from the Blizzard homepage, because I've read that it works pretty well with wine. Unfortunately there came out the new Patch 1.13c in march this year and after installing this the game doesn't start anymore. Has anybody an idea how to fix this problem?

Ok, I've tried wine with about 10 different aplications and it always returns SOME kind of error... and it closes... the only one I can run without ANY problem is DiabloII.... not even half life runs on wine... Hi, I am trying to run a program (Diablo 2) from an iso image of the disc rather than the disc itself. I used mkisofs to create the image, then I mounted it on /mnt/virtualcd. List, I have been trying to install Diablo 2 using wine with the latest stable. I read the tutorials on it and it seems that I need a file from gamecopyworld.com. As the title mentions, full screen mode does not work with Diablo 2 while using Glide Wrapper, but it does "work" for Direct3D (it's incredibly choppy/laggy though). Ok, I do have Diablo II working, mostly. At the moment, it only works under TWM (not fvwm which is what I normally use) and only in -win mode. The problem is that the first time that my mouse leaves the diablo window, diablo iconifies. Not a major issue, I just have to make sure that it's before I start playing.
