looking for a way to do appointment reminders
Hello,
My health care organization is looking for a way to do appointment
reminders. We currently have staff members who spend part of each day
manually calling patients to remind them of their upcoming appointments,
and we would like to automate this process.
Our electronic health record software would provide such information as
the patient's name, phone number, and day and time of

Credit card processing through Australian gateways (eway etc)
Hi there
Has anyone out there embarked on credit card processing in a Rails app
through Australian gateways such as eway?
I''m aware of Payment and ActiveMerchant, but neither support
Australian gateways.
It''s a little beyond me right now to hack these to work with eway.
Any clues would be appreciated here.

OT: Displaying errors on credit-card processing
Hi,
This question isn''t Rails-specific, but since Basecamp (& the family
of premium 37signals apps) have the best implementation of credit-card
processing I''ve seen, I''m hoping maybe DHH could lend an answer. Of
course, anyone is welcome to chime in!

[PATCH] ocfs2: Fix a missing credit when deleting from indexed directories.
The ocfs2 directory index updates two blocks when we remove an entry -
the dx root and the dx leaf. OCFS2_DELETE_INODE_CREDITS was only
accounting for the dx leaf. This shows up when ocfs2_delete_inode()
runs out of credits in jbd2_journal_dirty_metadata() at
"J_ASSERT_JH(jh, handle->h_buffer_credits > 0);".
The test that caught this was running dirop_file_racer from the

Credit Scoring in R - Weight of Evidence
Dear List,
I couldn't find any package that performs the "weight of evidence" of
predictors (a transformation usually performed in credit scoring
applications). Is there any that you know?
Thanks,
Axel.

xm sched-credit
Hi Everyone,
How can I make use of xm sched-credit in a VPS hosting environment? Can I use "xm sched-credit -d <domain>" in a script at system startup, or does this have to be run after the respective guest has been started? Also, what happens when the guest is shutdown then restarted, or rebooted? Do I need to run that command again? If so, how would I automate this process?

Exponential Fitting to Credit default data - A theoretical query
Dear R helpers
I am working on the credit risk default data and am referring to "An introduction to Credit Risk Modelling" by Christian Bluhm. The literature affirms that 'the default frequencies grow exponentially with decreasing credit worthiness'.
I have a data of rating wise default frequencies. The idea is to fit exponentail of the type

[PATCH][RFC] credit scheduler enhancement, eliminate unnecessary vcpu migrations
Hi Keir,
csched_load_balance is used to see if there are higher privileged vcpu
in
other physical processors'' runnable queue, if there is, then migrate
this vcpu to this physical processor.
But at following scenario, this vcpu migration is unnecessary.
1. idle_vcpu0 is running on lp0, hvm_vcpu is in lp0''s runnable queue,
this
happens when hvm_vcpu is just being woken up,
2.

(xm sched-credit) Error: cap is out of range
I have xen 3.2 running on an 8 core server. I tried to set
xm sched-credit -d mydomain --weight=1024 --cap=800 and got:
Error: cap is out of range.
I thought 8 cores are 800% ?! So, do I have du use 100 (for 100%)
instead of 800 (for 100%)?
And what about vcpus in my domu config? Must I set vcpus when cpu_weight
is set? If yes (e.g. vcpus = 2) does this restrict cpu_weight only to 2
cpus??
