panic possibly related to soft updates? (4.8-STABLE, Jun 12 2003)
Hello list,
I have been fighting this problem for a few days now. I have changed memory
and opened the case and monitored for heat. I have been getting the same
panic about every 12 to 24 hours. I can let the system sit idle, or run it
under a heavy load (cpu and disk), but the panics dont seem to be related to
system load. It looks to me like a dangling pointer in

Xen DomU's randomly freezing
Hi,
I've tried hitting up the CentOS forums and thought I'd try here too as I
don't seem to be getting any bites.
We've been in the process of migrating all our hypervisors over to CentOS 7
using Xen. Once we had a few up and running we started to notice that the
DomU's would randomly freeze. They become unresponsive to any network
traffic, stop consuming CPU resources on the

kqueue freezing 5.1R on kevent call
Hi,
The sample program given below freezes my 5.1R installation. This
program is from a bug report - kern/54331. That bug report
(http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-bugs/2003-July/001608.html) is
for the shutdown function call, whereas my machine basically just freezes
up and reboots on kevent itself. I am also noticing this problem with
another program i wrote (but too long to include

nVdia C15G chipset and GeForce 6100 on board graphix controller
Hi,
Apologies for the long post - but I'm being driven crazy by this problem.
A while ago I built a new server that is intended to serve as a Xen
server running multiple DomU systems used a test environments for
systems that I am working on. The host Xen system will be CentOS 5 as
will some of the DomU systems. The systems will all be hardware virtualized.
The motherboard uses the nVidia

Logging into Samba PDC with LDAP + Kerberos Backend
Hi,
I've been working to integrating a Samba PDC, running 3.5.3, with an
existing LDAP + Kerberos backend.
After much research and testing I've gotten to the point where I can
join Windows clients to my domains but I haven't yet managed to get
authentication via Samba to work. The goal is to have Windows clients
use our single sign-on as we do with the rest of our infrastructure.

[LLVMdev] runtime assert failure when trying to obtain analysis pass info within a transformation pass
I am having problems passing analysis results to transformation
passes, so I reduced my testcase into the following bare bone:
Pass1: simple FunctionPass, counting functions
Pass2: transformation pass, for now, just trying to obtain a reference
of Pass1 using AU.getAnalysis<Pass1>() inside its runOnFunction().
When I run it, I get the following runtime error:

[LLVMdev] VS2005 patches
In the VS2005 debug std libraries, the lower_bound algorithm uses a
function known as _DEBUG_LT. The problem with this is that it asserts
that if a < b then !(b < a). It also asserts that the input is actually
sorted by using < to compare the elements.
In LLVM there are a couple of places where the lower_bound algorithm is
used with a lower bound of a different type than the iterators.

wbinfo -K no such user
I'm attempting to get ubuntu to work with an AD 2008 server for
authentication and authorization.
DNS is on a separate unix host, with dns on the windows server as a
non-authoritative source.
It appears that I have a kerberos problem.
What works:
1. kinit user
Password for user at AD.ENGR.WISC.EDU
2. wbinfo -t, wbinfo -u, wbinfo -g all succeed.
What sort-of works:
1. net ads join -U
