Rendering issues with KDE (GeForce 7150M/nForce 630M)
I think all the common distros have pretty much stopped caring (if
they ever did) about allowing users to reasonably operate their
default environments with hardware that has imperfect 3D drivers.
Please use environments that don't require 3D for regular operation on
such boards.

Rendering issues with KDE (GeForce 7150M/nForce 630M)
In order to get a clear image on your screen so that you can test this, you
may need to set your display's resolution to 1024x768 in order to get
around bug 70972.

Xen on AM2 nForce 590 (Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe)
While I wait for the Xen 3.0 Test CD to download, has anyone has luck
using an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard (NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP
chipset)? The CPU is an AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ AM2 w/ 2GB DDR2 533.
The motherboard mostly works under Gentoo using kernel 2.6.18 with the
"noapic" kernel boot option in my grub.conf file. The only major issue
with the Gentoo kernel

Tyan K8SE (S2892) / nForce Pro Experiences
Has anyone installed Linux (CentOS or other) on a Tyan K8SE (S2892)
motherboard? I'd really like to hear your experiences -- with this board
or Nvidia's nForce Pro chipset in general.
I'm looking to build a new server using this board but would like to
find some other experiences first. I've googled myself blue but haven't
found any reviews or postings regarding this

Just know that the pre-sale evaluation was of the nForce4, and didn't
take the nForce Pro 2200 and 2200+2050

PXE -> tftp -> WinPE vs NForce 4
Hi
The setup, as in the subject, is supposed to boot a Winpe to install
xp to a clean PC.
I use the Ramdisk method (ie PXELinux pases the setup on to the M$
pxe loader and and boots WinPE)
It works perfectly with evry other chipset, but Nvidias NForce 4.
(tested 15 different)
With NF4 it loads up well but the M$ PnP routine detects the Network
management bus wrong (nvidia specific approach to

poor performance on nFORCE MB with Xen 3.0.2 linux-2.6.16-xen
Hi all,
again i tryed Xen for normal home / development usage ... again i ran
into a problem with it.
There seems to be a problem with Xen 3.0.2 and nFORCE Motherboards.
I used Xen 2 with nFORCE to and had a similar problem with performance
earlyer and the List helped by telling to compile the Chipset Modules
into the Kernel.
I tryed this too on Xen 3.0.2 but with no sucess. The system boots

nForce 630i Chipset, unable to get integrated nic working
Hello everyone,
I've also posted this onto the Network support forums but figured I'd shoot
it to the mailing list as well.
I recently purchased a ECS GF7100PVT-M motherboard and now I'm wishing I'd
investigated driver support a little better before I did! I was able to get
Centos 5.1 XEN Kernel installed but have been having a helluva time getting
the on board NIC going. The MB

nforce 430 MCP61 chipset on centos 4.4
Hello All.
I've got an Asus board with a non-operational nic and sound chip on Centos 4.4.
Anyone know if this is possible to get working on 4.4? I've downloaded 5.0
but it looks like others still have issues* with this chipset.
Thanks.

This is not a big deal. We write to some register that doesn't exist,
but we don't use that engine anyways -- it's the media engine, I
think.

System freeze: Debian Testing with C61 [GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a]
Thanks a lot, Ilia.

Could you -or anyone- give me some link/point me in the right
direction to learn how to do that?
And is there something I can do to fix (help to fix) completely this issue/bug?
Thanks again.
