swiotlb buffer is full
Hello,
I've noticed firefox got randomly stuck, and as sometimes that leads to a
complete system lock-up, I've checked dmesg and got this:
[Jan29 10:49] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: swiotlb buffer is full (sz: 2097152 bytes)

Yeah, a lot of people were getting that, as a result of some drm/ttm
hugepage usage.
Christian, did a fix ever end up going out? If so, what kernel was it
included in?

Should I expect nouveau on 4.6 to work on a GM206?

I just upgraded to 11.2. I'm getting errors like this in the log:

grumble/gripe ... fifo: read fault ... channel 12 killed! (eternal freeze-frame)
Twice now with v4.15-rc6, my display has gone belly up.
Note: swiotlb: suppress warning when __GFP_NOWARN is set v2 is applied,
but I don't _think_ it was the first time it happened.

Should I expect nouveau on 4.6 to work on a GM206?
I have the signed firmware (I think) and I'm running a fresh 4.6
kernel. I got an image to show up briefly, rendering the Fedora
sign-in screen at something like one frame per ten seconds. But then
I got all kinds of garbage, and I see:

training failed
dmesg |grep nouveau says:

Performance of madvise / msync
Hi,
I'm using py-rrdtool 0.2.1 with rrdtool 1.3.0 under 7.0-STABLE, and
there's a couple of things about this new version of rrdtool that
hurt performance under FreeBSD, but apparently help on whatever they
tested on.
For every update, the database file is opened, mapped into memory,
madvise() is called, contents are modified, msync() is called, and
the file is unmapped and closed:

With C7 that is caused by systemd.
Somewhere in /etc/systemd/logind.conf

P2Vs seem to require a very robust Ethernet
Now that we can gather diagnostic info, I think I know why our P2Vs kept
failing last week. Another one just died right in front of my eyes. I
think either the Ethernet or NFS server at this site occasionally
"blips" offline when it gets busy and that messes up P2V migrations.
The RHEV export domain is an NFS share offered by an old Storagetek NAS,
connected over a 10/100 Ethernet.
