Nvidia recent drivers
It is already available (I have that dGPU myself). Newer kernels are recommended (Linux 4.8+), you need either xf86-video-modesetting driver (known working with xorg 1.18) or xf86-video-nouveau (from git). Also note that many laptops with these card suffer from a problem that cause lockups when runpm kicks in. See https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156341 Kind regards, Peter

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Fix drm poll_helper handling
Commit cae9ff036eea effectively disabled the drm poll_helper by checking the wrong flag to see if the driver should enable the poll or not: mode_config.poll_enabled is only set to true by poll_init and it is not indicating if the poll is enabled or not. nouveau_display_create() will initialize the poll and going to disable it right away. After poll_init() the mode_config.poll_enabled will be true,

So a new thinkpad: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP107GLM [Quadro P2000 Mobile] (rev a1) Hangs whenever I try to poke at the card. [RFC PATCH] pci: prevent putting pcie devices into lower device states on certain intel bridges
Fixes runpm breakage mainly on Nvidia GPUs as they are not able to resume. Works perfectly with this workaround applied. RFC comment: We are quite sure that there is a higher amount of bridges affected by this, but I was only testing it on my own machine for now. I've stresstested runpm by doing 5000 runpm cycles with that patch applied and never saw it fail. I mainly wanted to get a

[PATCH] drm: fix issue by messing up runpm usage_counter
I have the issue when loading nouveau with runpm=0 set, that further nouveau loads without runpm set or runpm=1 don't put the card into sleep state. This is caused by calling pm_runtime_get_sync in drm_device.unload when the usage_counter isn't 0. pm_runtime_get_sync always increases the suage_counter and so the usage_counter gets increased allthough runpm=0 is set, meaning nouveau leaves

how to best present concentrated data points/ ggplot2
Hi all, I am trying to plot a weighted density plot for two different types and want to show the data points on the x axis. The code is as follows. The data points are very concentrated. Is there a better way to present it( should I set the alpha value or something else)? Thanks! YL library(ggplot2) x <- rnorm(10000) a <- rnorm(5000) b <- rnorm(5000) weights.x <- abs(a/sum(a))

Deletion of mail from Junk mailbox
I have a pigeon sive running which directs some of my received mail to the Junk folder. That works just fine. However, a couple minutes later, it is moved to Deleted mailbox and deleted from Junk. At first I thought my client was doing that so I shut down the client and it still happens. Here are the log entries: Jul 2 00:36:31 mail dovecot: imap(doug): copy from INBOX: box=Junk, uid=10842,

[PATCH 0/9] Fix runtime pm ref leaks
In preparation for runtime pm on muxed dual GPU laptops, I've fixed all runtime pm ref leaks I could find in nouveau, radeon and amdgpu. To ease reviewing, I've pushed this series to GitHub: https://github.com/l1k/linux/commits/drm_runpm_fixes_v1 @Alex Deucher: I do not have an AMD GPU so couldn't test this beyond verifying that it compiles. Please double-check the patches and test

GTA:SA+ WIne-RC1 + Ubuntu 8.04[64bit] -> Unhdl. exce.
Morning Wine-Boardies, I followed this guide: http://wiki.winehq.org/WineOn64bit to install wine. I then installed DX9.0c. I later installed GTA: SA (referred as platinum: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=2599 I got the usual error: preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-00010000 This one I could fix myself after some googling. Well now there
