how to interpret nouveau feature matrix
I have a GeForce G 105M. That's, I guess, an NV50 family video card: https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/CodeNames/#NV50 My question is... does Nouveau support HDMI with this video card? According to https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/FeatureMatrix/ TVout is "TODO" and HDMI audio is "DONE". What about HDMI video? Is that grouped under TVout or is TVout supposed to be

nouveau doesn't recognize my hdmi monitor
I have an ASUS UX50V laptop with a "NVIDIA Corporation: G98M [GeForce G 105M]" video card. Linux Mint 18.1 64-bit is installed with xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:1.0.12-1build2. The Nouveau driver does not seem to be recognizing my HDMI monitor that's plugged in. Here's the output of xrandr: Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1366 x 768, maximum 32767 x 32767 LVDS1 connected

nouveau doesn't recognize my hdmi monitor
This xrandr output only represents outputs on your Intel iGPU, not your NVIDIA G98 dGPU. You may find reading http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/Optimus instructional. Nouveau wiki translations
Hi guys, it's been a year since my last call (below) for updating translations. Unless anyone objects, I propose, that all translation pages are eligible for removal if they have not been properly updated within two weeks since the original page was updated. TiNDCs are an exception, they are not live content, and they should be up-to-date anyway, by definition. mwk already did some good

[PATCH 5/6] kms/nv50: detect HDMI max MHz correctly
This removes user control to force a hdmimhz. Given the vast variety of hardware and display configurations out there, I don't see how a patch like this won't blow up in our faces. I'm not saying we shouldn't do it -- we should attempt to respect the various maximums in the vbios, but until we get a solid handle on things, we should allow more user-configurability, not less, for

Realplayer audio/video plays fast & noisy on nVidia HDMI connected to HDTV
Hello, This's my first ever post to CentOS lists. Sorry if I made any mistakes. My family is familiar with this RealPlayer Gold 11 and hesitate to use VLC or others. I googled a lot and tried different settings to no avail. Could you please tell me what I need to edit in order to slow down the audio/video playback of this old player? All other apps - even some older than Realplayer can play

[PATCH v2 00/10] Enable HDMI Stereoscopy
HDMI 3D mode support, round two. Revisions include no longer dealing with audio InfoFrames, passing infoframe data to NVKM as bags of bytes rather than as data pre-packed for the hardware, more-normal return value checking for drm_hdmi_*_infoframe_from_display_mode() results, Frame-Packing mode support, more-principled logic for enabling stereo mode support on a connector, and support for all

[PATCH v3 00/10] drm/nouveau Enable HDMI Stereoscopy
HDMI 3D mode support, round three. Rebased to drm-next as it was on Sunday morning. Overall structure is the same as v2. Substantially rewrote the first patch (nv50_head_atomic_check_mode()) since a recent change to the calculation of m->v.blankus caused a merge conflict and problems with frame-packed and interlaced 3D modes, and I found a much saner model for how the timing parameters work

[PATCH 1/2] drm/nouveau: make hdmi device finding failure prints debug level
The hdmi device is required for runtime pm. However it is not available on many esp older devices, which were all seeing these error messages. Take this opportunity to also convert to nv_debug instead of the DRM_* messages, like the rest of nouveau does. 8K HEVC decoding with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
Hi all, I have developed an Android VR player, which supports 4K video playback so far. I want to include the support for 8K video. The current Snapdragon 845 mobile platform supports up to 4K video playback, which lacks the support for my requirement. So I choose Android-x86 as my platform for development, which is Android OS runs on Intel x86 architecture. I've tried to play 8K(7680*3840)

TVout reverse engineering GF4 etc.
Hi, I read on http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/TestersWanted that you're looking for information for the integrated tvout functionality. I'm the author of nvtv, and I know some bits and pieces about that subject, so maybe we can pool efforts. The TV encoder used in the NVidia GPUs may be a Zoran CVE IP core, http://www.zoran.com/products/literature/index.html For the GF4 MX,
